Abstract:
An automotive additive composition comprising an automotive additive ingredient and a matrix is described. The automotive additive ingredient may be a fuel additive ingredient such as a detergent. The matrix may comprise a gel composition, a solid water removal agent, or a combination comprising one or more of the foregoing matrices. The automotive additive composition may be in the form of a capsule, a gel capsule, or a tablet. Also disclosed is a method of delivering an additive ingredient to a functional fluid of a motor vehicle.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a composition comprising a formula emulsion wherein the formula emulsion comprises a cationic or amphoteric surfactant, a wax emulsion, a thickener, and at least two silicone oils having different viscosities, wherein the composition is free of abrasives and organic solvents. The weighted average viscosity of the silicone oils is 2200 to 2400 centistokes (cSt).

Abstract:
A cleaner composition comprises a surfactant, a sodium source, an odor neutralizer, a fragrance, and a biocide, wherein the odor neutralizer comprises a betaine compound, aminoalcohol, a polyol, and an ionone, and wherein the cleaner composition is stable at a pH of about 9.5 to about 11.5 when stored for 24 months at a temperature of about 25° C. A spray dispenser comprises the cleaner composition and a propellant. Also described is a method of cleaning, deodorizing, or a combination thereof, automobile interiors by applying the disclosed cleaner composition to an automobile interior.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods of providing short-term protection to an automobile exterior. In one embodiment, the method comprises applying an aqueous film-forming automotive coating composition to an automobile exterior; drying the aqueous film-forming automotive coating composition at ambient conditions to form a protective coating that does not substantially alter the gloss or color of the automobile exterior; and removing the protective coating after a period of time post-application in a manner that does not result in damage to the automobile exterior and produces a biodegradable waste stream. A two component package is also provided, the package comprising an aqueous film-forming automotive coating composition comprising a film-forming polymer and a solvent; and an aqueous wash removal composition that is at least one of a surfactant wash, a solvent wash, a solvent surfactant wash, or a combination thereof. In another embodiment, a curable coating composition is applied and cured by natural sunlight.
