Abstract:
A toner image processing apparatus performs a printing operation and a cleaning operation. A toner-attracting electrode includes first and second electrodes disposed closer to the charged surface of a photosensitive drum and outside of a path through which the light from the exposing device illuminates the charged surface. During the toner attracting operation, a toner-recovering device causes the toner-attracting electrode to attract the toner particles floating in the air surrounding the exposing device, and reversely charged toner particles and residual toner particles left on the photosensitive drum after the toner image is transferred to the print medium. During the toner-releasing operation, the toner-recovering device causes the toner-attracting electrode to release the attracted toner particles to the photosensitive drum. The toner-attracting operation is performed during the printing operation and the toner-releasing operation is performed during the cleaning operation.

A fusing apparatus 14 for fusing toner onto paper includes a heater roller 2 and a separating unit 15 with a separation claw 16. The separation claw 16 is provided with a paper guide member 17 having a curvature in a direction opposite to the curvature from a point a to a point c on the heater roller 2. After fusing, the front end 10a of the separated paper 10 is guided by the paper guide member 17. The paper guide member 17 reforms a curl imparted by the heating roller 2 curl into the original state, even if the paper 10 sticks to the heater roller 2 until the point c.
Abstract:
A connector includes a signal terminal, an insulating member, a ground terminal and an enclosure. The signal terminal has a main body extending in one direction, and a contact arm provided on each side of the main body for contacting another conductor. The insulating member encloses the main body. The ground terminal has a cylindrical main body enclosing the insulating member, and a contact arm provided on each side of the cylindrical main body for contacting another conductor. The cylindrical main body includes first and second semi-cylindrical parts, each having semi cylindrical shapes. The semi-cylindrical parts make a cylindrical shape as a whole by both end parts of the circumferential direction being assembled so as to mutually overlap. An insertion hole is formed in the enclosure where an assembly of the signal element, the insulating member and the ground terminal are inserted.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an electronic device comprising a terminal provided with a conductor which penetrates a cured prepreg is provided. At least one opening is formed in the prepreg. The prepreg is attached to a substrate over which an electronic element is formed so that the conductor included in the terminal overlaps with the opening. A conductive paste is provided in a region of the prepreg where the opening is provided. Part of the conductive paste flows into the opening to be in contact with the conductor included in the terminal. Then, heat treatment is performed so that the conductive paste and the prepreg are cured. In the process for manufacturing the terminal, it is not necessary to perform a step of forming an opening with a laser beam after the prepreg is cured. Thus, an adverse effect of a laser beam on the electronic element can be eliminated.

Abstract:
A passenger detection device that determines whether a passenger sits in a passenger seat or backseat, and if YES, determines whether the passenger is an adult or a child, and whether the passenger is sitting in a normal attitude. A pair of thermopile sensors 13 and 14 are disposed on a dashboard 11 at a predetermined distance from each other in a horizontal direction. The pair of thermopile sensors 13 and 14 are disposed such that they monitor a predetermined same position P on a surface of the passenger seat 12 when a passenger 15 does not sit in a passenger seat 12. Output signal which are output from the pair of thermopile sensors 13 and 14 are subtracted by a subtraction circuit 25, an output difference signal of the pair of thermopile sensors 13 and 14 is taken out, and it is detected whether a passenger sits in the seat by this signal.

Abstract:
Residual fine foreign matters are infallibly removed when manufacturing bearing parts. A removal process of residual fine foreign matters is taken before a high precision water-washing process in a manufacturing process of each component of a rolling bearing. Accordingly, residual fine foreign matters generated in a cutting process, a heat-treating process and a grinding process are removed, including metal powder like a metal chip and falling pieces of bearing components. In the removal process of residual fine foreign matters, ground pieces of corn-cob as a raw material are used for a grinding medium. Thus, damages to a surface of rolling bearing parts may be minimized during the removal process. Moreover, the medium is likely to accommodate to a surface of bearing parts, so that residual fine foreign matters may be effectively removed.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus has a fixing unit. A heat roller heats a toner image on a print medium to fuse the toner image. A first temperature detector is in contact with a longitudinal end portion of the heat roller, and generates a first temperature data. A second temperature detector opposes the heat roller and is in proximity to a substantially middle portion of the heat roller. The second temperature detector generates a second temperature data. Depending on the first temperature data and the second temperature data, a controller performs temperature control either in a first mode where the heater is energized such that the first temperature data is equal to a first target value, or in a second mode where the heater is energized such that second temperature data is equal to a second target value.
Abstract:
An apparatus for extracting liquid crystal by heating under reduced pressure includes a chamber defining an inner space in which a waste liquid crystal panel is placed and having a heating unit that heats the inner space, a pressure-reducing unit that maintains the inner space under a pressure-reduced state, and a heat conducting unit that heats and thereby weakens an opening-sealing material or a sealing material of the waste liquid crystal panel. The heat conducting unit is provided separately from an inner wall of the chamber which generates a temperature for the reduced pressure heat treatment in the inner space.
