Abstract: Since both a driving means for lifting a work and a driving means for turning operation must have been arranged in a conventional work transfer apparatus, the apparatus has been large in size and heavy in weight. A work transfer apparatus is provided with a holding tool for holding a window, i.e., the work, and a supporting arm for movably supporting the holding tool. The window held by the holding tool is transferred by a supporting arm to window frames to which the window is to be assembled, and the posture of the window is changed to that corresponds to the window frames. Furthermore, the supporting arm is configured to be a closed loop link mechanism wherein a plurality of links are connected to form a closed loop. The posture of the holding tool one link of a pair of links connected to the holding tool of the supporting arm can be fixed.

Abstract: A device that supports a motion for restoring an inclination angle of a body to a reference direction is provided. A balance device includes a sensor, at least one flywheel, and a controller. The sensor is configured to detect an inclination angle of the body with respect to the reference direction. The at least one flywheel is arranged on the balance device so that an axis of the flywheel is non-parallel to a yaw axis of the body when the balance device is attached to a user. The yaw axis of the body corresponds to a longitudinal direction of the body. In addition, the yaw axis coincides with the reference direction when the user stands erect. The controller is configured to change a rotation rate of the flywheel based on an inclination angle detected by the sensor.

Abstract: A leg assist device having an abnormality management procedure which appropriately adapts to an abnormal situation is provided. The leg assist device is provided with a leg attachment and a controller. The leg attachment comprises upper and a lower links connected with a rotary joint, and an actuator. The upper link is to be attached to the upper leg of the user. The lower link is to be attached to the lower leg of the user. The actuator swings the lower link relative to the upper link. The controller outputs the commands so that the swing angle of the lower link follows a target trajectory. Further, the controller executes a first abnormality management process in which the controller shuts off torque transmission from the actuator to the user when the controller detects an abnormality before outputting the commands to the actuator.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for assisting an operator in carrying heavy articles. The device is provided with a movable body for supporting the heavy article, an actuator for actuating the movable body, and a controller for adjusting the output of the actuator. The controller adjusts the actuator such that a force obtained by subtracting a resultant force of force proportional to acceleration of the heavy article, force proportional to speed, and force proportional to position value from force required for moving the heavy article with a same movement as that performed at that point. Further, coefficients proportional to acceleration, speed, and position value are changed during the series of carrying work. Especially, it is useful that the coefficients be changed according to the task process phases. It makes an operator feel as if he were changing assist device to an appropriate one for each task process phase. The operator is able to work under various environments with a feeling which is convenient for performing his work well.
