Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system for upgrading a hydrocarbon-containing feed gas to a methanol product stream and a hydrogen product stream. As part of the method/system, a synthesis gas stream is compressed to a pressure being higher than the feed pressure of the hydrocarbon feed gas, prior to being fed to a methanol synthesis unit. A hydrogen product stream is provided by separating a hydro-gen rich stream, downstream the methanol synthesis unit.

Abstract: A system is described for providing a hydrocarbon product stream. An electrolysis section provides a syngas stream from a first feed comprising CO2 and a second feed comprising H2O, which is then passed to an F-T section where it is converted to a hydrocarbon product stream and a tail gas stream. An electrical steam reformer section said tail gas stream and convert it to a second syngas stream, which is then recycled upstream the FT section. A process is also provided for converting a first feed comprising CO2 and a second feed comprising H2O to a first hydrocarbon product stream in a system according to the invention. The system of the invention can be combined with an upgrading section, in a gas-to-liquid plant.

Abstract: A methanol plant is provided in which a first feed comprising CO2 and a second feed comprising H2 are provided, the combined feed is shifted in a CO2 shift unit so as to provide a first synthesis gas stream. Water is removed in a water removal unit, to provide a second synthesis gas stream. A methanol synthesis section receives the second synthesis gas stream, and provides a product stream comprising methanol. A process for producing a product stream comprising methanol, and a process for upgrading a methanol plant are also provided.

Abstract: A chemical plant is provided which comprises an air separation section (ASU), a reformer section, a water-removal section and a refrigerated separation section. A first feed of atmospheric air is separated in the ASU to produce a refrigerant stream. A hydrocarbon feed is converted to a first syngas stream in the reformer section. Water is removed from the first syngas stream and at least a portion of the resulting dried first syngas stream is separated it into at least a product stream, and a by-product stream; by means of the refrigerated separation section. Importantly, the refrigerated separation section is cooled by a refrigerant stream (e.g., nitrogen) from the ASU. A process for producing a product stream, using the plant, is also provided.
