    Abstract: A safety cabinet has an opening portion in the front surface of a work room and a front shutter and supplies clean air to the work room from above. A side slit is provided in the side surface of the work room, air from the provided side slit joins an air flow path suctioned from a front grille of a workbench forming the bottom surface of the work room, and the turbulence of an airstream can be prevented even when a device is installed in the work room.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a control unit for a fluid control device wherein the control unit comprises a pressure unit for providing positive and/or negative pressure, at least one first control unit outlet being fluidically connectable to a processing device comprising at least one receptacle for receiving a fluid sample, at least one second control unit outlet being fluidically connectable to a treatment device having a chamber for receiving the processing device, and a connection unit by means of which the pressure unit is fluidically connectable or connected with the first control unit outlet and/or with the second control unit outlet wherein the control unit is adapted to control the processing of the fluid sample in the processing device by applying a positive or negative pressure provided by the pressure unit to the first control unit outlet by means of the connection unit and to control a physical state in the chamber of the treatment device.

    Abstract: A system for automated processing of a plurality of batches, each batch being derived from one biological sample, the system comprising an enclosure which can be closed and sterilized, each batch of the plurality of batches comprising one or more cell processing container; a plurality of reagent containers for holding reagents within the enclosure; at least one reagent dispenser within the enclosure for dispensing reagents during said automated processing; a quality control system within the enclosure for analyzing at least one characteristic of a batch during said automated processing; a harvester within the enclosure for harvesting batches; a robotic system within the enclosure, configured for transporting cell processing containers, decapping or otherwise opening cell processing containers, pipetting reagents or liquids from cell processing containers, and aspirating liquids from cell processing containers, during said automated processing; a tracker for electronically tracking the plurality of batches after its introduction to the enclosure; and a control unit (CU) communicatively coupled to the at least one reagent dispenser, the quality control system, the harvester, the robotic system and the tracker for controlling said automatic processing of said batches.

    Abstract: A modular vacuum chamber system provides for tapered surfaces and resilient sealing members, wherein the tapered surfaces are protected from undesired contact with work surfaces, and provide for vacuum-tight engagement of various modules. Modules can include chamber modules, defining shapes for a resultant vacuum chamber. Modules can comprise connecting modules, configured to sealingly engage two chamber modules and form a larger vacuum chamber than either module alone. Modules can comprise wall plate modules, configured to sealingly engage a chamber module and form a surface of a vacuum chamber. Wall plate modules can comprise solid plates, optically transparent plates, and plates accommodating ports for communication between the vacuum chamber and the environment outside the vacuum chamber.

    Abstract: The current technology relates to a portion of a transfer port having a port ring configured for placement in a barrier wall. The port ring has a first side and a second side and defines a port opening extending from the first side to the second side. A port door is pivotably coupled to the second side and is configured to selectively and sealably obstruct the port opening. The port ring defines a sealing surface on the first side of the port ring, concentric to the port opening that is configured to receive a gasketing material. The port ring defines an interface insert receptacle having a portion of an annular surface concentric to the sealing surface and an inner cylindrical face extending between the first side and the annular surface. The port ring is configured define a fastening structure that is configured to releasably fasten to an interface insert.
