A method of manufacturing a firearm component comprising: providing a body having an exterior surface; applying a first coating layer to the exterior surface; after coating the exterior surface, affixing a granular aggregate to the exterior surface; and after affixing the aggregate, applying an additional coating layer.
Abstract:
A method for applying a predetermined pattern of material onto an elongate tubular substrate includes securing a first portion of an elongate tube having a non-circular outer perimeter to an engagement member configured to be rotated by a first motor, such that the elongate tube can be rotated in unison with the engagement member, operating the first motor to rotate the elongate tube, operating a second motor of to change the relative displacement between the elongate tube and a dispensing conduit along a longitudinal axis of the elongate tube, and expelling a conductive adhesive from a fluid dispenser through the dispensing conduit to form a predetermined pattern of the conductive adhesive on a surface of the elongate tube, the predetermined pattern of the conductive adhesive covering at least 180 degrees of the surface along the non-circular outer perimeter over a width of at least two millimeters along the longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A paper tube that functions as a core of a rolled sheet, the paper tube includes an inside base paper layer at an inside peripheral surface of the paper tube; and an outside base paper layer at an outside peripheral surface of the paper tube, polyphenol and glycerin being impregnated in at least one of the inside base paper layer and the outside base paper layer.
Abstract:
A fluid applicator tool that includes an applicator portion including a pair of arcuate clamping members that each include an inner radial portion and an outer radial portion, an absorbent media extending along the inner radial portion of each arcuate clamping member, and a hinge coupled between the pair of arcuate clamping members. The hinge is operable for rotating the pair of arcuate clamping members relative to each other for positioning between an open position and a closed position. The pair of arcuate clamping members are oriented such that a through hole is defined therebetween when in the closed position.
Abstract:
An internal quench system for cooling pipes being coated is provided. The system comprises an internal quench lance having spray nozzles configured at one end of the internal quench lance. There is also provided wheels and retractable supports to support the internal quench lance without hindering the movement of the pipes. Each retract support is provided with a liquid coolant supplying means to provide liquid coolant to the internal quench lance. A process for using the internal quench system for cooling pipes being coated is also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a reparation method of a tubular vascular graft, (a) immersing a tubular scaffold in a first light sensitivity gelatin solution, and irradiate the tubular scaffold by a first time period, to let surface of the tubular scaffold form a base layer; (b) immersing the tubular scaffold of the step (a) in a chitin gelatin solution, when the surface of the base layer form a film, then immersing the tubular scaffold into a sodium hydroxide solution to generate a middle layer of the surface of the base layer; (c) immersing the tubular scaffold of the step (b) in a second light sensitivity gelatin solution, wherein the second light sensitivity gelatin solution comprises a cell, the tubular scaffold is irradiated by a second time period to form a surface layer of the middle layer; (d) until the cell forms a tubular structure of the surface layer by the cell in the tubular scaffold of the step (c), heating the tubular scaffold by a temperature to solve the base layer into a solution, pulling out the tubular scaffold to get an artificial blood vessels.
Abstract:
A plastic overmold aluminum extrusion including at least one plastic overmold and aluminum extrusion. The aluminum extrusion is formed with sufficient cross sectional properties and features such as an internal web to help prevent undesirable collapses under injection or compression molding pressures. This improves part geometry and strength while minimizing weight. A plurality of protrusions and/or local deformations on an outer wall of the extrusion can be used to create strong mechanical interface to the plastic. Localized deformations can result from a combination of the applied plastic pressure under injection or compression molding pressures and the proximity of outer gaps of the internal web structure. A process of making the plastic overmold aluminum extrusion includes inserting at least one aluminum extrusion into a mold without mandrels and delivering plastic forming the plastic overmold.
Abstract:
Tubular ceramic structures, e.g., anode components of tubular fuel cells, are manufactured by applying ceramic-forming composition to the external surface of the heat shrinkable polymeric tubular mandrel component of a rotating mandrel-spindle assembly, removing the spindle from the assembly after a predetermined thickness of tubular ceramic structure has been built up on the mandrel and thereafter heat shrinking the mandrel to cause the mandrel to separate from the tubular ceramic structure.
Abstract:
An outer periphery coating method of honeycomb structure has coating steps where the honeycomb structure including a ring-like bulge portion is rotated; a coating member is brought into contact with a side surface of the honeycomb structure by pressing a side edge portion of a spatula via a rubber sheet, the coating member including the plate-like spatula in which a specific cut portion is formed in the one side edge portion and the side edge portion provided with the cut portion is an inclined surface inclined on a coating surface side, and the rubber sheet in which a cut is formed so that an end surface of the end portion is parallel to a back surface of the spatula when the end portion is bent along the side edge portion of the spatula; and a slurry coating material is supplied to the side surface of the honeycomb structure.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a balloon coating method for forming a coating layer containing a water-insoluble drug on an outer surface of a balloon of a balloon catheter, the balloon catheter including the balloon which is inflatable and provided on a distal portion of an elongate shaft. The balloon coating method includes: accommodating the shaft in a groove portion formed in a support base to extend rectilinearly, and closing at least part of the groove portion with a lid portion, thereby to support the shaft such that the shaft can be rotated within the groove portion; and moving a dispensing tube for supplying a coating liquid containing the drug relative to the balloon in an axial direction of the balloon, while rotating the balloon about an axis of the balloon, thereby to coat the outer surface of the balloon with the coating liquid.
