Abstract: According to the present invention, without the abnormal increase of elastic force of a return spring returning a lock pin of a VVL mechanism, the undesired generation of a high-lift in the VVL mechanism can be prevented even in an area at a temperature lower than or equal to a low temperature, or under a bad condition in which the viscosity of oil is extremely raised by an oil deterioration factor such as excessive soot inside the oil; the operation of the VVL mechanism can be stably and properly operated in the whole operation area of an engine; and a smooth and stable lubrication performance for an HLS and other parts requiring lubrication can be secured, wherein the area at a temperature lower than or equal to a low temperature includes a room-temperature area.
