Abstract: A power train protection method of a hybrid vehicle is provided to reduce damage of an engine clutch by preventing heat transfer from a motor to the engine clutch through exclusion of power generation of the motor. A power train protection method of a hybrid vehicle comprises the steps of: determining whether a temperature of oil measured by an oil temperature sensor installed inside a torque converter case is more than a predetermined first reference value; driving an electric oil pump to allow a valve body to forcibly couple an engine clutch and excluding power generation of a motor when the oil temperature is more than the first reference value; determining whether the oil temperature measured by the oil temperature sensor is less than a predetermined second reference value; and stopping driving the electric oil pump to release the forcible coupling of the engine clutch and releasing the exclusion of power generation of the motor when the oil temperature is less than the predetermined second reference value.
