Abstract: It is desirable to provide lignocellulosic materials having improved flexural strength, improved screw pullout values, good surface properties, and good processing properties. The present invention provides a lignocellulosic material having a core and two outer layers, the core comprising 30-98% lignocellulose particles, 1-25% expanded plastics, and 1-50% binders, the outer layers comprising 70-99% lignocellulosic fibers and 1-30% binders, wherein the weight ratio of expanded plastics to lignocellulose particles in the exterior of the core is different than said ratio in the interior of the core.

Abstract: Procedimiento para la preparación de soluciones de aminoplasto mediante cond ensación discontinua o continua de form adores de aminoplasto con formaldehido en una cascada de tanques con agitación conectados en serie con al menos tres dispositivos de tanques con agitación A, B Y e, caracterizado porque se hace reaccionar a) en el dispositivo A una mezcla que contiene formaldehído y urea en la proporción molar de 2,3: 1 a 2,9:1 yagua a un valor de pH de 6 a 8, ajustado por medio de una base, a una temperatura de 80 a 85' C, en cuyo caso el dispositivo A se compone de uno o varios tanques con agitación conectados en paralelo o en serie , b) en el dispositivo B a una proporción molar de formaldehído a urea de 1,9: 1 a 2,6:1, y el dispositivo B se compone de uno o de varios tanques con agitación , donde se disminuye la proporción molar de formaldehído a urea , ocasíonalmente agregando adicionalmente urea, por etapas a mínimo 1,9:1 , a un valor de pH de 3,5 a 5,5, el cual se mantiene casi constante, a una temperatura de 100 a 1 05' C y un ti empo de residencia medio de 10 a 90 min en todo el dispositivo B, c) en el dispositivo e a una temperatura de 90 a 100' C se eleva el valor de pH al menos 5,9 y se disminuye la proporción molar de formaldehído a urea a 1,7:1 hasta 1,4:1, en cuyo caso el dispositivo e se compone de uno o varios tanques con agitación y d) adicionando urea a temperaturas de 15 a 100' C se establece una proporción molar fin al de formaldehído a urea de 0,7:1 a 1,28: 1 y un valor de pH de al menos 7.
