In some aspects, a user equipment may receive carrier information identifying at least one of: an initial absolute frequency for a carrier, a tone boundary offset value for the carrier, a number of resource blocks included in the carrier, or a frequency offset from a reference frequency; and determine a resource allocation of the carrier based at least in part on the carrier information and a subcarrier spacing of the user equipment.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to communication systems, and more particularly, to efficient data scheduling in systems having a supplemental uplink carrier (SUL) configured. In some aspects, a method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The UE receives signaling configuring the UE for uplink control channel transmission on a primary uplink carrier (PUL) or a SUL. The SUL is an uplink carrier not paired to a downlink carrier. The UE monitors in at least one search space for downlink control information (DCI) scheduling the UE for uplink data transmission to a cell on the PUL or the SUL. The UE sends one or more uplink data transmissions to the cell on the primary uplink carrier or the supplemental uplink carrier based on the DCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for configuration aspects of a tracking reference signal in New Radio. A base station may select a first burst duration and a second burst duration for a tracking reference signal (TRS) burst, the first burst duration being different from the second burst duration, and may transmit configuration information indicating the first burst duration and the second burst duration to a user equipment (UE). The base station may transmit a first TRS burst having the first burst duration and a second TRS burst having the second burst duration. The UE may detect the first TRS burst having the first burst duration and the second TRS burst having the second burst duration based at least in part on the configuration information, and perform resource tracking based at least in part on the detected first TRS burst and the second TRS burst.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining rate matching behavior for a plurality of control resource sets (CORESETs) is provided. A base station (BS) bundles a plurality of CORESETs into a global resource set. The BS configures the global resource set for a User Equipment (UE). The BS determines resources assigned to a downlink data channel overlap at least a portion of the global resource set and determines whether data on the downlink data channel is to be rate matched around the global resource set or is to use resources in the global resource set. The BS transmits the data on the downlink data channel based on the determination of the rate matching.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to communication systems, apparatus and methods which enable or support transmitting/receiving downlink control information (DCI) carrying a downlink grant or an uplink grant. A method includes detecting a reference length based on an effective length of a downlink (DL) grant DCI and an effective length of an uplink (UL) grant DCI and calculating a length difference based on the effective DL grant DCI length and the effective UL grant DCI length. A length of a padding field in the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI is set equal to the calculated length difference such that the lengths of the DL grant DCI and UL grant DCI are both equal to the reference length. Padding bits are inserted in the padding field of the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI. Thereafter, the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI is encoded and transmitted to a scheduled entity.
