Abstract: PURPOSE: A dual-mode pixel and a dual-mode display containing the same are provided to display an image by independently emitting light according to the intensity of light projected from the outside or selectively reflecting the projected light, thereby displaying a clear image regardless of the intensity of light projected from the outside. CONSTITUTION: A self-emitting device (100) is formed at the top of a first membrane (210). One or more membranes (220,230) are formed around the first membrane. A bottom layer is formed at the bottom of the first membrane and one or more membranes by being separated from the first membrane and one or more membranes. When operated in first mode, a dual-mode pixel emits light by driving the self-emitting device. When operated in second mode, the dual-mode pixel selectively reflects projected light by using the interference of light generated between the first membrane and one or more membranes and the bottom layer.
