The present invention relates to a UE and method for supporting discontinuous reception in a wireless communication network. The method according to the present invention includes waking up at wake up time related to the beginning of a DRX cycle with a plurality of sub frames. Also the method includes determining whether to perform reception beam training before a time period for downlink communication. The method includes receiving data for the time period for the downlink communication.

The present invention relates to a method for paging configuration performed by a mobile station in a wireless network. The method according to the present invention includes the steps of: transmitting, to a base station, a parameter M representing the number of receiving (RX) beam instances at the mobile station in an idle mode for the mobile station to finish one round of beam steering; determining a timing for receiving a paging message from the base station; and receiving a paging message from the base station based on the determined timing, wherein the timing is a function of the parameter M, and the paging message comprises a mobile station identifier.

PURPOSE: An apparatus for hierarchical channel sounding and channel state information (CSI) feedback in a massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system and a method thereof are provided to determine time, frequency and space processing technique for communication between a base station and at least one mobile station. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station (MS) receives at least one sector-level reference signal and a number of synchronous signals applied with different transmission space processing techniques, from at least one base station (602). The MS determines long-term CSI by using the synchronous signals and the sector-level reference signals. The MS determines at least one preferred slice in a sector for communication between the at least one base station and the MS, on the basis of the given CSI (603). The MS transmits a signal indicating the at least one preferred slice to the at least one base station. PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for supporting the reconfiguration of self-configuration wireless communication are provided to supply reconfiguration timing to a subscriber terminal from a base station through a message. CONSTITUTION: An FBS(Femto-cell Base Station) includes a normal mode(505) and a relay mode(510). The FBS transmits a switch message(515) to a subscriber terminal before switching a normal mode to a relay mode. When a backhaul connection is recovered, the FBS returns to the normal mode. FBS transmits a switchback message(520) to the subscriber terminal.
