    Abstract: PURPOSE: A throttle body is provided to prevent noise by controlling the white noise generated in an idle state by installing a noise barrier. CONSTITUTION: A throttle body includes a passage having a main valve(21) controlling the flow of sucked air, an air passage(30) having an intake passage(31) and an exhaust passage(32), an idle speed actuator(22) installed in the air passage between the intake passage and the exhaust passage to control the flow of sucked air in an idle state, and at least one soundproof instrument installed in the front or rear of the idle speed actuator to remove noise in the air passage. The intake passage is slant to the passage to prevent the generation of swirls. At the end of the exhaust passage, a noise barrier(33) is formed to reduce noise. The soundproof instrument consists of a first muffler(34) formed in the intake passage and a second muffler(35) formed in the exhaust passage. With the mufflers and the noise barrier, the white noise generated in a surge tank is removed.
