Disclosed is an oxime ester compound which is represented by the general formula (I) below and useful as a photopolymerization initiator. A photopolymerization initiator containing such an oxime ester compound as an active constituent is highly sensitive and does not color the polymerization product or contaminate the polymerization product and apparatus. (I) (In the formula, X represents a halogen atom or an alkyl group; R1, R2 and R3 independently represent R, OR, COR, SR, CONRR' or CN wherein R and R' respectively represent an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or a heterocyclic group which may be substituted by a halogen atom and/or a heterocyclic group, the alkylene section of the alkyl group and aralkyl group can be interrupted by an unsaturated bond, an ether bond, a thioether bond or an ester bond, and R and R' may combine together to form a ring; Y1 represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a selenium atom; A represents a heterocyclic group; m represents an integer of 0-4; p represents an integer of 0-5; and q represents 0 or 1.)

A novel compound having satisfactory sensitivity (base generating performance), a photosensitive resin composition containing the compound as a photo-initiator, and a cured product of the composition are provided. Specifically, a compound represented by general formula (1) (compound (1)), a photosensitive resin composition containing (A) a photo-initiator comprising at least one compound (1) and (B) a photosensitive resin are provided. Preferred are the compound (1) in which R 1 is an unsubstituted or substituted C6-C20 aromatic hydrocarbon group, the compound (1) in which at least one of R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , R 9 , R 10 , and R 11 is nitro, and the compound (1) in which n is 0. The symbols in general formula (1) are as defined in the description.

Disclosed is a novel compound represented by formula (1) below. In the formula, A represents an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon ring or aromatic heterocyclic group, B represents a group including a chain of one to four pieces of one or more groups selected from groups represented by specific formulae (B-1) to (B-13) (such as -C=C- or -N=N-, specifically see the description), R1 to R3 each represent an optionally substituted hydrocarbon or hydrocarbonoxy group, at least one of R1 to R3 represents an optionally substituted hydrocarbonoxy group, R4 and R5 each represent an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group, R4 and R5 may be linked together to form a ring, and R4 and R5 may be each independently linked with A to form a ring.
