Abstract: Disclosed is a method for separating acids from chemical reaction mixtures by means of an auxiliary base. Said auxiliary base b) forms a salt with the acid, which is liquid at temperatures at which the valuable product is not significantly decomposed during separation, and c) the salt of the auxiliary base and the valuable product or the solution of the valuable product form two immiscible fluid phases in a suitable solvent.

Abstract: Procedimiento para separar ácidos de mezclas de reacción mediante una base auxiliar, en donde: a) la base auxiliar forma una sal con el ácido, cuya sal es líquida a temperaturas a las que el producto de valor no es descompuesto significativamente durante la separación de la sal líquida; y b) la sal de la base auxiliar forma con el producto de valor o la solución del producto de valor en un disolvente apropiado dos fases líquidas no miscibles entre sí. La base auxiliar c) actúa simultáneamente como catalizador nucleófilo, y la sal de la base auxiliar tiene un punto de fusión por debajo de 160°C. En dicho procedimiento se usa una base, que es seleccionada de entre las fórmulas (a) a (r), en donde: R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 y R6 significan, independientemente, hidrógeno, alquilo C1-18, alquilo C2-18, arilo C6-12, cicloalquilo C5-12 eventualmente interrumpidos por uno o varios átomos de oxígeno y/o átomos de azufre y/o uno o varios grupos imino sustituidos o no sustituidos, o un heterociclo de 5 a 6 miembros que presenta átomos de oxígeno, nitrógeno y/o átomos de azufre, cuyos radicales mencionados pueden estar sustituidos en cada caso por grupos funcionales, arilo, alquilo, ariloxi, alquiloxi, halógeno, heteroátomos y/o heterocicleno. Uso de una fosfina, de ésteres de ácido fosfínico, ésteres de ácido fosfinoso (fosfinitas), ésteres de ácido fosfónico, haluros de ácido fosfónico, amidas de ácido fosfónico, ésteres de ácido fosfonoso (fosfonitas), amidas de ácido fosfonoso, haluros de ácido fosfonoso, ésteres de ácido fosfórico, haluros de diésteres de ácido fosfórico, amidas de diésteres de ácido fosfórico, dihaluros de ésteres de ácido fosfórico, diamidas de ésteres de ácido fosfórico, ésteres de ácidos fosforosos (fosfitas), haluros de diésteres de ácido fosforoso, amidas de diésteres de ácido fosforoso, dihaluros de ésteres de ácido fosforoso o de diamidas de ésteres de ácido fosforoso, obtenidos según el procedimiento descripto como ligandos para catalizadores.

Abstract: The invention relates to a shell catalyst containing ruthenium as an active metal, alone or together with at least one other metal of the auxiliary group IB, VIIB or VIII of the periodical system of the elements (CAS version), and applied to a carrier containing silicon dioxide as a carrier material. The invention also relates to a method for producing said shell catalyst, and to a method for hydrogenating an organic compound containing hydrogenable groups, preferably for hydrogenating a carbocyclic aromatic group to form the corresponding carbocyclic aliphatic groups or for hydrogenating aldehydes to form the corresponding alcohols, using the inventive shell catalyst. The invention further relates to the use of the inventive shell catalyst for hydrogenating an organic compound containing hydrogenable groups, preferably for hydrogenating a carbocyclic aromatic group to form the corresponding carbocyclic aliphatic groups or for hydrogenating aldehydes to form the corresponding alcohols.
