    Abstract: A Michael addition product for the crosslinking of polyurethane is prepared by mixing an acrylate with an amine. A Michael addition product (I) of formula (1a) or (1b) is prepared by mixing an acrylate of formula (2a) with an amine of formula (3a) or an acrylate of formula (2b) with an amine of formula (3b). Independent claims are included for: (i) a polyurethane (II) containing (I) or a Michael addition product prepared from ammonia and/or a 2-30 C hydrocarbon containing a primary or secondary amine group and a further group reactive with isocyanate or their mixture and/or an olefinic 4-30 C carboxyl compound as a crosslinking agent; (ii) a process for the production of (II) by mixing the crosslinking agent with the other components; and (iii) fibers, film, foam and molding compositions containing (II). R1, R3, R3', R3'', R7, R8', R8'' = H or 1-20 C hydrocarbon; R2 = (4); R4,R5R6 = 1-20 C hydrocarbon; R9I-R9VIII = H or 1-6 C hydrocarbon; D = H or an alkali; alkaline earth and/or tetraalkylammonium cation whereby the nitrogen is in the form of an anion in the presence of the cation; X = OH and/or SH; a = 0-3; b = 0-10; c = 1-4, with the provision that x has no validity with a+c=4; d = 0-10; e = 0-5; f = 0-10; g = 0-1; g+h+x = 3, with the provision that c has no validity in these cases; i = 1 or 2; j = 0-2; i+j = 1-3; k = 1-20; l = 1-20; m = 1-20; n = 1-20; o = 0-1; p = 1 or 2; q = 0 or 1; r = 1 or 2; s = 1 or 2; t = 1 or 2 with s+t=3; u = 0-20; x = 1 or 2.

    Abstract: Lignin containing polyhydroxy compounds are claimed which are prepared by reacting a solution, comprising lignin of salt content, based on Na and K ions, of 5000-15000 ppm, a polyalkylene glycol(s) from polyethylene glycols and/or polypropylene glycols giving a total OH functionality of at least 2 and optionally an OH, NH or NH2 functional compound(s) of H functionality at least 2, with an alkylene oxide(s). Also claimed are the preparation of the above compounds, the preparation of compact or flexible polyurethanes by reacting high mol wt. compounds with at least two reactive H atoms, preferably polyhydroxy compounds, and lignin containing polyhydroxy compounds with optionally modified organic polyisocyanates, optionally in the presence of chain extenders and/or crosslinkers, propellants, catalysts and aids and the obtained compact or cellular polyurethanes. Preferably the polyalkylene glycols have a mol. wt. of 400-4000, preferably 600-1500 and a polypropylene glycol content of 0-50, especially 0-10%. The lignin has a salt content of 5000-12000 ppm. The functional compound is an at least diol, sugar alcohol, saccharide, amino alcohol or aliphatic or aromatic amine. The high mol wt. compounds have a functionality of 2-8 and an OH number of 25-500, preferably from polythioether polyols, polyester amides, OH containing polyacetals and polycarbonates, polyester polyols, polyether polyols and/or polymer-modified polyether polyols. The propellant is water and/or 3-7C alkanes.

An Independent claim is also included for reaction-retarded polyurethane foam obtained by this method.
