    Abstract: Polyurethane flexible foam having latex like properties is prepared by reaction of organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanates with a polyetherol mixture containing at least 50 wt.% 2-8C functional polyetherol based on propylene oxide, butylene oxide and/or ethylene oxide, whereby the ethylene oxide content is greater than 40 wt.% Polyurethane flexible foam (I) having latex like properties is prepared by reaction of: (A) organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanates; with (B) a polyetherol mixture; and optionally (C) other isocyanate reactive compounds in the presence of; (D) water and/or other propellants; (E) catalysts; and optionally (F) other processing aids and additives. (B) comprises (B1) a 2-8C functional polyetherol based on propylene oxide, butylene oxide and/or ethylene oxide, whereby the ethylene oxide content is greater than 40 wt.% (w.r.t. total alkylene oxide), with an OH-number of 20-80 mg KOH/g and a primary OH group content of greater than 50%, (B2) a 2-6 functional polyetherol based on propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide having an OH number of less than 140 mg KOH/g and (B3) at least one further polyetherol based on ethylene oxide and propylene oxide having a primary OH group content of greater than 25%. (B) contains at least 50 wt.% (B1).
