Abstract: Bis-hydroxy esters of di-(carboxyalkyl)-siloxanes of formula (I) are new, In (I), R1-R4 are 1-8C hydrocarbyl; A is polyether-polyol residue; m is 1-20; and n is 1-10. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for the prodn. of polyurethanes (PU). (I) are less viscous than the corresp. umodified polyether-polyols, and therefore give rise to fewer problems in handling and metering; the PU derived from (I) have partic. good processing and service properties; mould release agents are generally not required. Also claimed are PU foam and compact PU, obtd. from (I) and polyisocyanates, with and without blowing agents respectively; also claimed are moulded prods. based on such PU materials.
