    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a storable polyol pre-mixture for making flame-retardant polyurethane foam plastics consisting of a mixture of a polyester polyol or polyether polyol and an ammonium polyphosphate as a flame-retardant agent. The pre-mixture contains more particularly an ammonium polyphosphate which corresponds to the general formula (I) H(n-m)+2(NH4)mPnO3n+1 (I) in which n stands for an integral average value of 100 to 1000, m stands for a whole number of up to n+2 and m/n stands for a value of about 1, has an acid number of 0.01 to about 5 mg KOH/g, contains 0.01 to 0.5 mass % water and 0.5 to about 15 mass % water-soluble fractions in water at 25 DEG C.

    Abstract: INTUMESCENT FLAME-RETARDANT COATING COMPOSITIONS Intumescent flame-retardant coating composition consisting substantially of a film-forming agent, an ammonium polyphosphate, one or more substances which are carbonizable under the action of heat, a dispersant, and optionally a filler. The coating composition additionally contains an ammonium polyphosphate activator weighing 0.5 to 50 % of the weight of ammonium polyphosphate.     Abstract: 1397957 Detergents containing builders HOECHST AG 14 Sept 1972 [24 Sept 1971] 42706/72 Heading C5D [Also in Division C2] Builders for detergent and cleansing agents comprise water-soluble salts of acid carboxylic acid esters prepared by reacting at least trivalent, 6-10C, aliphatic olefinically unsaturated carboxylic acids or hydroxy-carboxylic acids with aliphatic alcohols (3-6 OH groups), and in which each hydroxylic group of the alcohol and optionally the hydroxycarboxylic acid is esterified with a carboxylic acid molecule. Citric, aconitic, tricarballylic, dihydroxy-tricarballylic, nitrotriacetic and ethylenediamine-tetracetic acids may be used with glycerol, erythritol, pentaerythritol, mannitol, sorbitol or sugar alcohol (4-6 C) and the salts are of alkali metal or ammonium ion. A proportion of 10-80% by weight of salts may be used and then ion-active and/or non-ionic tensides and further conventional additives may be present. Examples describe the use of builders prepared from glycerol, sorbitol or pentaerythritol with nitric acid used with dodecylbenzene sulphonate, tallow fatty alcohol and hardened tallow soap, and also with additional magnesium silicate, sodium silicate, sodium perborate, sodium sulphate and tylose in detergent wash liquors.
