    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an emulsion cosmetic having high durative humectant effect, softening effect, lowered greasiness and tackiness, and good feeling by using a novel liquid oil agent of a specific diacylglycerol, a surfactant and water. CONSTITUTION:(A) A liquid oil which is substantially composed of a novel diacylglycerol of the formula (one of R1 through R3 is a residue of saturated 11-17C straight-chain fatty acid; another, saturated 10-18C branched-chain fatty acid and the rest, H), as an oil is emulsified using (B) a surface active agent in (C) water, to give the subject oil cosmetic which shows the effects stated above, because component (A) has adequate effects of blocking and softening skins, mucous membranes and hairs and shows lowered irritation, despite high permeation through keratin, and high stability. In the composition, the amount of (A) is preferably 0.1 to 80wt.%, particularly 1 to 20wt.%; (B) is 0.05 to 10wt.%, particularly 0.1 to 5wt.%; and (C) is the remainder, namely 10 to 99wt.%.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable accurate diagnosis of skin, by altering the connection of a measuring electrode to measure content of moisture existing in a surface layer or at a depth of a corneous layer. CONSTITUTION:A sine wave signal oscillated with a sine wave oscillator 1 has the waveform thereof shaped and the amplitude thereof stabilized with a buffer circuit 2' to be applied to a measuring electrode 3'. An output of the circuit 2' is applied between an electrode 3'a and the ground. A voltage to be applied to the electrode 3' is set at a weak voltage. Here, when the electrode 3' is put on skin to be inspected, a potential difference between an intermediate electrode 3'b and a center electrode 3'c varies depending on a moisture content at a depth of a corneous layer and a detection voltage thereof is amplified 5'. As a result, an output current of the circuit 2' flows between the electrode 3'a and the electrode 3'c and the potential difference appears at an output of a circuit 5' to remove a short cycle of noise with a filter circuit 6. Then, an AC voltage thus filtered 6 is rectified and detected 7 and thus, a DC voltage corresponding to a peak value is inversely proportional to an absolute value of impedance at a depth of the corneous layer.

CONSTITUTION:A medicinal skin drug for external use or cosmetic (e.g. cream, milky lotion, toilet water, lipstick, foundation or hairdressing) containing a lipid derivative expressed by formula I [R1 is 10-26C alkyl; R2 is 9-25C alkyl; X and Y are H or phosphoric acid ester group expressed by formula II (R3-R5 are H, 1-6C alkyl or aralkyl), provided that X and Y are not H at the same time]. The amount of the blended compound expressed by formula I is preferably 0.1-20wt.% based on the total composition in the case of an emulsion type agent and 5-25wt.% in the case of an oily agent containing a liquid hydrocarbon as a base. The surfactant has action on enhancement of effects and a glyceryl ether expressed by formula III [R6 is 8-24C alkyl, especially preferably a group expressed by formula IV (p is 4-10; q is 5-11)] is preferred. The amount thereof blended is 0.1-5wt.% based on the total composition.

In addition, the additives used in usual cosmetics such as salts, oil, emulsion, powder, ultraviolet scattering agent, pH adjuster, thickener, pigments, preservative, antioxidant, fungicidal or water-soluble solvents are suitably used to produce emulsion, dispersion, double-layered or solubilized preparations. Since the humectant is not flown off by sweat or water, the preparation can stay on the application site to sustain the moisture retention effect for hours.
