Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to display both a NTSC signal and a CCIR signal on a screen by switching an operating signal to be output from a control circuit for CCIR or NTSC to the other and by supplying either one of the operating signals to a scanning electrode of a liquid crystal display unit. CONSTITUTION:When a television signal S1 is a NTSC signal S1N, a NTSC/ CCIR discriminating circuit 3 supplies a control signal S4 for connecting a movable contact 6C and a fixed contact 6A to a switch 6, a controller 4 for NTSC generates an operating signal S2 corresponding to a cycle of horizontal synchronous pulse of the NTSC signal S1N, and supplies it to a scanning drive circuit 7. Next, if a television signal S1 is a CCIR signal S1C, it connects the movable contact 6C and fixed contact 6B of switch 6, a CCIR controller 5 generates a gate signal GC as an operating signal S3 corresponding to a cycle of horizontal synchronous pulse of CCIR signal S1C. However, in order to make the gate signal GC match with a liquid crystal display unit 8 prepared for NTSC, the gate signal GC is generated thinning out one time for 6 times.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce color shifting even for an optical source including a bright line spectrum and to make it possible to use the titled device also for a camera using a shutter by simply constituting the device of two light receiving elements. CONSTITUTION:The spectroscopic sensitivity distribution of visible light type silicon photodiodes 3, 5 receiving light from a white diffusion plate 1 is made close to visibility distribution and a filter fitted to the diode 5 transmits the center wavelength of said distribution, i.e. wavelength longer than 550nm. The output signals Wa, Ra of the diodes 3, 5 are supplied to a subtractor 8 through logarithm compressing circuits 6, 7 respectively. Therefore, the output signal of the circuit 8 has chromatic temperature information. The output signal is A/D converted and its digital signal is supplied to a microcomputer 10. In the microcomputer 10, a white balance control signal is previously determined in accordance with the chromatic temperature information. In this example, red and blue signal control signals obtained from the microcomputer 10 are A/D converted respectively and their analog signals are supplied to red and blue gain control circuits 12R, 13B respectively. Thus, the white balance is automatically adjusted at a real time.

SOLUTION: A battery pack 21 comprises a lower case part 33 composed of a front end surface 33A, a rear end surface 33B facing the front end surface 33A, and a connection surface for connecting the front end surface 33A to the rear end surface 33B, a built-in battery which is stored in the lower case part 33 and connected to a pair of power supply terminals 25 and 26, and a microcomputer 21A which is stored in the lower case part 33 and has a function for communication with outside about the state of the built-in battery through a first communication terminal 24. The power supply terminals 25 and 26 are provided on the front end surface 33A. The first communication terminal 21A is so provided on the front end surface 33A or on one surface of the connection surface that it is close to the power supply terminals 25 and 26 while also close to a negative electrode terminal 25, among the power supply terminals 25 and 26.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely find the types of external power supplies by comparing the fully charged supply voltage of power supply pack of detected voltage and the value of supply voltage of AC adapters to a judging reference voltage selected. SOLUTION: A power supply type judging circuit 1A has a voltage dividing resistors 13A and 13B, and the divided voltage at the connection midpoint P1 is connected as a detection voltage VD to a detection voltage input terminal 11C of a power supply type judging unit 11. The power supply type judging unit 11 converts a detection voltage VD from analog to digital, forms a detection voltage data, and judges whether the value is larger than the judging reference voltage data. Value of the judging reference voltage data is selected to a value higher than the output voltage of fully packed power supply pack 3 but lower than the output voltage of AC adopter 4. That is, it is judged as power supply pack when the detected voltage is lower than the judging reference voltage and identified as AC adapter when the detected voltage is higher than the judging reference voltage.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an electronic view finder in which useless power consumption is prevented and a display screen is viewed in an excellent way even when much light is leaked from an eyepiece. CONSTITUTION:The user views a display screen of a liquid crystal display panel 2 arranged in a lens barrel via a lens 3. An infrared ray LED 7 emitting a pulse signal and a phototransistor(TR) 8 are arranged in an eye cup onto which an eye 5 of the user is in contact. A surrounding light detection circuit 6 generates a control section C2 representing whether or not an eye contact state is set based on an output signal of the TR 8 and a control signal C1 representing whether or not a surrounding luminous quantity is high. The luminance of a back light section 2b is controlled in a control circuit 10 based on the control signals C1, C2. When not in eye contact state, the display luminance is set to 0 and the display is reset. Furthermore, only when the surrounding luminous quantity is high, the display luminance is increased. Then waste of power consumption is prevented and even when much light is leaked from the eyepiece under a bright environment, the display screen is viewed in an excellent way.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality by providing a view finder having a decoder receiving a digital video signal from a signal processing circuit of a camera main body through a bus, decoding the digital video signal and outputting a signal to display a picture on a display device to the video camera. CONSTITUTION:A digital video signal VD is fed to a decoder driver 19 being a component of a view finder 17 through a bus 15. The decoder driver 19 decodes the applied digital video signal VD, converts the signal into an analog signal and gives the converted signal to an LCD 11. Thus, a picture with fidelity corresponding to the digital video signal VD is displayed on a display screen of the LCD 11. In this case, even when the signal waveform of the digital video signal VD is distorted due to a stray impedance or the like and the distortion stays within a prescribed range, since the original signal is accurately reproduced, the picture displayed on the LCD 11 is brought into the picture with fidelity to the image pickup signal S and the picture quality is improved comparatively.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain stable dropout compensation by detecting a dropout at a pre-stage of time axis correction while applying compensation after the time axis correction, superimposing a prescribed signal on a signal fed to a time axis correction circuit and detecting the superimposed signal at the output side of the time axis correction. CONSTITUTION:A switch 22 is provided to a pre-stage of the time axis correction circuit 8 to switch a reproducing signal from a reproducing amplifier 5 and a prescribed potential from a voltage source 23, controlled by a signal from a dropout detection circuit 21 and a signal with a prescribed level is superimposed on the reproducing signal supplied from the time axis correction circuit 8 at a dropout period detected from the reproducing signal. Then the signal superimposed on the signal from the time axis correction circuit 8 is fed to a detection circuit 25 and a switch 7 is switched to other fixed contact while the signal is detected. Then the signal is used to replace at dropout and then excellent dropout compensation is attained.
