    Abstract: The present invention relates to an SCAR marker for distinguishing Miscanthus sacchariflorus which is a high yield perennial energy crop, which is able to quickly distinguish Miscanthus sacchariflorus from other Miscanthus without the influence in a culture environment or growth time. One side of the present invention provides a method for distinguishing Miscanthus sacchariflorus comprising the steps of: isolating genomic DNA from Miscanthus; amplifying a target sequence by RAPD-PCR using the isolated genomic DNA as a template and a primer of sequence number 1; and identifying the position of bands of the amplified DNA by electroporation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: Miscanthus sacchariflorus named Wooram is provided to function as a raw material for environmentally-friendly construction materials and high density pellet fuel. CONSTITUTION: Miscanthus sacchariflorus, which is named Wooram, is tetraploid Miscanthus sacchariflorus Benth. and has 76 chromosomes. In the polymorphism analyzing process with a N8018 random primer, one band exists at 1,800bp and has morphological features as follows. The lower part of a stem is dark violet, and the inside of the stem is hollow. The number of sprouts is 51± 8/m^2. The length of the stem is 313± 32cm. The diameter of a ground stem is 9.7±1.0mm. The quantity of dried plants is 19.6±1.5 ton/ha. The miscanthus sacchariflorus is cultivated using the callus of the miscanthus sacchariflorus (Accession number: KCTC12088BP).

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A simple sequence repeat (SSR) primer for identifying sweet potato cultivar is provided to effectively detect DNA polymorphism of the sweet potato and to be used for DNA profiling of the sweet potato. CONSTITUTION: SSR primer pairs is selected from group which consist of; a primer pair represented by sequence number 1 and 2; a primer pair represented by sequence number 3 and 4; a primer pair represented by sequence number 5 and 6; a primer pair represented by sequence number 7 and 8; a primer pair represented by sequence number 9 and 10; and a primer pair represented by sequence number 11 and 12.
