Abstract: 본 발명은 DVB-H 단말기에서 IP 플랫폼 전환시 IP 플랫폼 전환이 신속하게 이루어질 수 있도록 제어하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 본 발명은 DVB-H(Digital Video Broadcasting- Handheld) 단말기에서 IP 플랫폼 전환 제어 방법에 있어서, 특정 IP(Internet Protocol) 플랫폼 선택이 있으면 선택된 IP 플랫폼에 대한 ESG(Electronic Service Guide)를 다운로딩 하면서, 현재 서비스 가능한 IP 플랫폼에 대한 ESG를 백그라운드로 다운로딩 하여 저장하는 제1 과정과, 상기 선택된 IP 플랫폼에 대한 ESG 다운로드가 완료되면, 다운로드 된 ESG를 이용하여 서비스 채널 리스트를 생성하고, 상기 생성된 서비스 채널 리스트와 함께 현재 서비스 가능한 IP 플랫폼의 이름을 표시하는 IP 플랫폼 아이콘들을 화면에 함께 표시하는 제2 과정과, 상기 IP 플랫폼 아이콘들 중 하나가 선택되면, 해당 IP 플랫폼에 대한 ESG 다운로드 완료 여부에 따라 해당 ESG를 이용하여 서비스 채널 리스트를 생성한 후 화면에 표시하는 제3 과정을 포함함을 특징으로 한다.
