    Abstract: 본 발명에 의한 어휘망을 이용한 질의어 확장 시스템 및 그 방법과 그 방법에 대한 컴퓨터 프로그램을 저장한 기록매체에 관한 것으로, 사용자가 웹에서 질의어를 입력하면 입력한 질의어를 검색하기 이전에 질의어와 유사한 형태로 쓰이는 대역어, 동의어, 연관어, 형제어, 상위어, 하위어, 뜻풀이 등을 질의어에 첨부하여 질의 확장 방법으로 검색을 자동 수행함으로써, 사용자가 원하는 검색결과를 도출하고 검색 수행 시간 및 노력을 줄일 수 있다.
    이를 위한 본 발명에 의한 어휘망을 이용한 질의어 확장 방법은, (a) 단어의 대역어, 동의어, 연관어, 형제어, 상위어, 하위어, 뜻풀이 등을 각각 분류하여 어휘망 데이터베이스(DB)에 저장하는 단계와; (b) 웹 인터페이스를 통해 사용자로부터 질의어를 입력받는 단계와; (c) 상기 입력된 질의어와 유사한 형태로 쓰이는 대역어, 동의어, 연관어, 형제어, 상위어, 하위어, 뜻풀이 등을 상기 어휘망 데이터베이스(DB)에서 검색하여 그 결과(검색어)를 상기 질의어에 자동 첨부하는 단계; 및 (d) 상기 질의어와 상기 질의어에 첨부된 검색어를 기초로 검색을 자동 수행하여 그 결과를 출력하는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
