Abstract:
The present invention relates to a beating signal monitoring module, and a terahertz wave generator and an optical signal monitoring device including the same. The beating signal monitoring module according to the present invention comprises: a non-linear unit for generating an optical signal, including four wave mixing (FWM) light, in response to a beating signal generated based on first and second light; a filter unit for separating the FWM light from the optical signal and outputting the separated FWM light; and a monitoring unit for monitoring the beating signal by using the separated FWM light. According to the beating signal monitoring module, and the terahertz wave generator and the optical signal monitoring device including the same of the present invention, the beating signal generated by using two lasers can be efficiently monitored by using the FWM signal.

The present invention relates to a terahertz wave generating module and a terahertz wave detecting device including the same. The terahertz wave generating module according to the present invention comprises: a bidirectional light source which provides a first dual-mode beam in a first direction and a second dual-mode beam in a second direction; a forward lens unit which focuses the first dual-mode beam; a photomixer unit which converts the first dual-mode beam focused by the forward lens unit into a terahertz wave, and outputs the converted terahertz wave; a backward lens unit which focuses the second dual-mode beam; and a light output unit which uses the second dual-mode beam focused by the backward lens unit as a light signal, wherein the bidirectional light source, the forward lens unit, the photomixer unit, the backward lens unit, and the light output unit are integrated in a housing. The terahertz wave generating module and the terahertz wave detecting device including the same according to the present invention may have a small size and efficiently monitor generated terahertz waves.

PURPOSE: An electro-optic device and mach-zehnder optical modulator used the same are provided to improve the operation speed of an optical device by first to third impurity region of an NPN structure or a PNP structure. CONSTITUTION: A rib wave guide(10) comprises a mesa(14) and the slab(12) in the lower part of the mea. The rib wave guide is extended to the cross direction of first to third impurity regions(40,50,60). A first impurity region is formed in the slab in one side of the mesa. PURPOSE: A second order sinc decimation filter is provided to reuse a clock signal for controlling an input unit of a signal transmitting channel, thereby drastically simplifying a switching circuit. CONSTITUTION: A second order sinc decimation filter includes six signal transmitting channels(511~516) and two signal output channels. The signal transmitting channels are connected between input node A and middle node B. The signal output channels are connected between middle node B and output node C. The signal transmitting channels and the signal output channels can configure a signal transmitting unit and an adding unit of the second order sinc decimation filter. A discrete signal can be applied to input node A. The discrete signal is generated by sampling a current signal outputted from a transconductor. A second order decimation circuit operates according to a clock signal with signal timing.

PURPOSE: A photoelectric device is provided to modulate the phase of an optical signal inputted by an optical modulator with an intrinsic or doped optical modulating unit. CONSTITUTION: An input Y basin(10) includes a first input branch and a second input branch. An output Y basin(20) includes a first output branch and a second output branch. A first optical modulator(100) and a second optical modulator(200) are connected in series between the first input branch and the first output branch. A third optical modulator(300) connects the second input branch with the second output branch. A first optical modulator includes a PIN diode. The second optical modulator and the third optical modulator include PN diodes respectively.
