    Abstract: PURPOSE: A urea solution heating device and a method thereof are provided to heat a urea solution by using high-temperature, high-pressure exhaust gas discharged after combustion in an engine. CONSTITUTION: A urea solution heating device comprises an exhaust gas pipe(10), a muffler(20), a first bypass pipe(80), a urea solution tank(50), and a second bypass pipe(82). The exhaust gas pipe discharges high-temperature, high-pressure exhaust gas after combustion in an engine. The muffler is connected to one end of the exhaust gas pipe and decreases the pressure and temperature of the exhaust gas to discharge the exhaust gas to the atmosphere. The first bypass pipe is branched from the exhaust gas pipe to detour some of the exhaust gas. The urea solution tank receives the exhaust gas passing through the first bypass pipe. One end of the second bypass pipe is connected to the muffler.

The inlet portion of the exhaust gas outflow pipe and the outlet portion of the intermediate pipe are placed in the same chamber. The outlet portion of the exhaust gas outflow pipe is protruded to the outside of the silencer housing to prevent with the exhaust gas discharge direction of the outlet portion of the exhaust gas outflow pipe from according with the inflow direction of the exhaust gas.
