    Abstract: Se describe un proceso para resolver los racematos de fenilacetonitrilos de la formula I: en donde R1, R2, R3 y m tienen los significados manifestados en la descripcion. El proceso comprende disolver los racematos I en un solvente polar, añadir de 0.5 a 1.0 moles del ácido alcanforsulfonico opticamente activo por mol del compuesto I, calentar a temperatura de 40 degree C a 100 degree C permitiendo que se enfríen y liberando el fenilacetonitrilo opticamente activo I de la sal obtenida de esta manera.
