    Abstract: La presente invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para la obtencion de N-fosfonometilglicina a partir de una mezcla acuosa, que contiene disueltos en la misma N-fosfonometilglicina, halogenuros de amonio, halogenuros de metales alcalinos o alcalinoterreos y eventualmente impurezas organicas, caracterizado porque: a) se ajusta el pH de la mezcla a un valor en el rango de 2 a 8, b) se realiza una separacion de la mezcla en una membrana de nanofiltracion selectiva, obteniendose un retentato mas rico en N-fosfonometilglicina y mas pobre en halogenuros y un permeato mas rico en halogenuros y mas pobre en N-fosfonometilglicina, y c) se obtiene N-fosfonometilglicina si se desea a partir del retentato. El procedimiento de acuerdo con la invencion permite la obtencion de la N-fosfonometilglicina con separacion simultanea de las sales de halogenuros.

    Abstract: In the continuous production of alkyl acrylates by liquid-phase reaction of acrylic acid with 1-5C alkanols followed by work-up in a rectifier unit (III), an acrylic acid-separating column (I) and another rectifier unit (II), 0-60 wt.% of the organic phase from the first distillate (from III) is recycled to (III) and column (I) is operated with an organic reflux ratio of (0:1)-(1:1). A method for the continuous production of alkyl acrylates (AE) involves reacting acrylic acid (AA) with 1-5C alkanols in the liquid phase in presence of esterification catalyst(s), in which the acid, alkanol and catalyst are continuously fed into the reaction zone. The resulting AE is removed after a certain residence time from the top of a rectifier unit (III) above the reaction zone as a component of an azeotrope with water (or water and alkanol), together with AA. The resulting first distillate is separated into organic phase(s) (containing AE) and aqueous phase(s), part of the organic phase and the aqueous phase is transferred to an AA-separating column (I) from which an AA-enriched bottom product is removed and at least partly recycled to the reactor and a mixture of alkanol, AE and water is distilled off and condensed to form an AE-containing organic phase and an aqueous phase. Part of this organic phase is transferred to another separating zone with at least one rectifier unit (II). In this method, 0-60 wt.% of the organic phase from the first distillate is recycled to the rectifier unit (III) and the AA-separating column (I) is operated with an organic reflux ratio of (0:1)-(1:1). An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus for the continuous production of alkyl (meth)acrylates by this method, comprising a reactor (5) fitted with feed lines (10, 11, 12) for reactants and catalyst and connected to the bottom of a rectifier unit (III), the top of which is connected via a condenser (16) with a phase separator (17) which is also connected to unit (III) via a line (18) for the organic phase and to another rectifier unit (I) by other line(s) (19) for the organic and aqueous phases. The top of unit (I) is connected via a condenser (20) to a phase separator (24) which is also connected to unit (I) via lines (26) and (25) for the organic phase and the aqueous phase respectively.
