    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for stabilizing a coenzyme dependent enzyme, characterized in that the enzyme is stored in the presence of the coenzyme, said coenzyme being a stable coenzyme chemically modified by comparison to, and having a higher stability than, the native coenzyme. Also disclosed is a coenzyme dependent enzyme which is stabilized with the coenzyme, said coenzyme being a stable coenzyme chemically modified by comparison to, and having a higher stability than, the native coenzyme, characterized in that it shows on storage for at least 2 weeks at a temperature of at least 20 degrees C, where appropriate with high humidity and without a drying reagent, a decline in the enzymatic activity of less than 50% compared with the initial level, wherein the enzyme is a mutated glucose dehydrogenase and the mutated glucose dehydrogenase has an increased thermal or hydrolytic stability compared with the corresponding wild-type glucose dehydrogenase.
