Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise generated from a contact sliding part between a thrust pad and the upper end of a bearing by fitting a thrust pad of a vibration- proof iron plate having wear resistance and heat resistance on the upper end face of the bearing in a hermetic compressor having a bearing for supporting a shaft. SOLUTION: When an electric motor formed by a rotor 3 and a stator 4 is rotated, a piston 7 is reciprocated in a cylinder 6 by the rotary motion of a shaft 2, so that coolant gas is sucked and compressed in space 10. At this time, lubricating oil 12 of the lower part of the compressor is pumped by an oil feed pipe 13, and then further pumped to the upper part of the compressor by an oil feed groove of the shaft 2 to be fed to each sliding part. In this case, a thrust pad 30 of a vibration-proof iron plate having wear resistance and heat resistance is installed between the rotor 3 and the upper end part 14 of a bearing. By this arrangement, when the shaft 2 pressed in the rotor 3 is rotated along the bearing 14, noise from the contact sliding part between the thrust pad 30 and the bearing upper end part 14 can be damped.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration level of an outer shell due to dynamic vibration absorber effect and reduce generation of compressor noise by bringing resonance frequencies of an outer shell and a leg supporting the outer shell into a closer level. SOLUTION: An outer shell 1 shows the largest amplitude in its resonance at its portion near an electrode terminal 15 arranged on a flat portion 16. A weight 14 is welded to the outer shell 1 at its portion near the electrode terminal 15. A resonance frequency of the outer shell 1 is shifted to a lower frequency side by arranging the weight 14 onto the outer shell 1. By combining the outer shell 11 with a leg 13, a frequency different from each case is obtained. The resonance frequencies of the outer shell 11 and the leg 13 are arranged with each other by the presence of the weight 14. It is thus possible to suppress a vibration level of the outer shell 11 due to dynamic vibration absorber effect, and reduce generation of noises.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the vibration of the portion of a compression element dipped in a refrigerator oil and reduce the noises of a refrigerant compressor by fitting a vibration control member made of a refrigerant-resistant and oil- resistant material to the portion of the compression element arranged at the lower section in a shell directly dipped in the surface of the refrigerator oil. CONSTITUTION: When an electric element 2 stored in a shell 1 is started and a crank shaft 5 is rotated in a refrigerant compressor used for an electric refrigerator, the piston 8 of a compression element 6 is reciprocated in a cylinder 7 via a connecting rod 11, and the refrigerant gas is sucked, compressed, and discharged. A vibration control member 20 molded into the corresponding shape is fitted to the portion of the compression element 6 dipped in the surface 12a of a refrigerator oil 12 by an adhesive so that the compression element 6 is not directly dipped in the surface 12a of the refrigerator oil 12. The vibration of the portion of the compression element 6 generated during the operation is absorbed by the vibration control member 20, and the vibration propagation to the refrigator oil 12 is cut off.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively restrain flow change of compressed refrigerant gas by introducing discharge gas from a compression element stored in a closed container fixed with a discharge pipe to the discharge pipe by a discharge line, and by providing a restricted part on the discharge pipe. CONSTITUTION:A compression mechanism 1 stored in a closed container 2 compresses refrigerant gas by reciprocal motion of a piston 6 in a cylinder 5 by a crank shaft 8 rotated by an electric motor 3 and discharges it through a discharge muffler, a discharge line 13 and a discharge pipe 14 fastened on the closed container 2 outside. In this case, inside diameter set smaller than the inside diameter of the discharge line 13 is set by providing a restricted part 14a on a part outside of the closed container 2 in the circumferential direction of the discharge pipe 14. Consequently, change of flow (pulsation) of compressed gas can be damped without preventing enlargement of the size of a compressor and its startability.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively reduce the noise of a compressor while preventing heat accumulation by forming a soundproof space between a sealed container and an outer container provided in such a manner as surrounding the outside of the sealed container, and filling the soundproof space with a heat transfer fluid. CONSTITUTION:Two circular elastic members 4 of roughly the same bore as the outside diameter of the center portion of the shell of a sealed container 1 are fitted with each other while being separated from each other by a predetermined distance, at the shell portion of the center of the sealed container 1 wherein a compressor which is driven and rotated via a crank shaft 4 by a motor element consisting of a stator 2 and a rotor 3 is installed, and an outer container 15 having an inner surface separated from the sealed container 1 by approximately the wall thickness thereof is provided in such a manner as covering the whole sealed container 1. A soundproof space 16 is thereby defined between the sealed container 1 and the outer container 15 over the whole peripheries of the containers and the soundproof space 16 is filled with a heat transfer fluid (e.g. a fluid sealer, oil). The outer container 15 comprises a center tubular portion 15a and lid-shaped portions 15b, 15c on both sides.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of electromagnetic noise due to electromagnetic vibration by a method wherein the stator of a motor is secured on the inner peripheral surface of a closed container, a rotor has slots a part of which are formed in the shape of a half-closed groove having a partial opening part and the rest of which are formed in the shape of a fully closed groove having a closed part. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 3 is provided with slots 3a filled with a columnar A material. A part of the slots have respective opening parts 3b and are formed in the shape of a half-closed groove, and the rest of the slots 3a have respective closed parts 3c and are formed in the shape of a fully closed groove. In this constitution, through rotational movement of the rotor 3, a compression mechanism compresses refrigerant gas, higher harmonics from a stator 2 flow through the rotor 3, and magnetic resistance of the opening part 3b is high. Thereby, a higher harmonic flux flows in a shape in which it is interlinked with a conductor contained in the slot 3a, a current flows through the conductor in a direction in which the higher harmonic flux is erased, the generation of higher harmonics is reduced, and the generation of electromagnetic vibration is decreased.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To sharply reduce the transmission quantity of electromagnetic vibration and reduce low-frequency noise by directly fixing a stator on the inner periphery of a sealed container, providing a step on the outer periphery of the stator, and reducing the contact face between the sealed container and the stator. CONSTITUTION:A step D is provided on the outer periphery 2' of a stator 2 so that the outer periphery 2' of the stator 2 is not brought into contact with the whole face of a sealed container 1. When a compressor compresses the refrigerant gas, the transmission quantity of the electromagnetic vibration generated on the stator 2 to the sealed container 1 is sharply decreased because the contact face between the outer periphery 2' of the stator and the sealed container 1 is small. The low-frequency noise of the compressor can be sharply decreased.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce noises by dividing an intake muffler into upper and lower chambers by an intermediate partition plate to provide a communicating hole in the intermediate partition plate. CONSTITUTION:An intake muffler 1 made of synthetic resin is divided into two upper and lower chambers 6, 7 by an intermediate partition plate 5, and a communicating pipe 1a coupled with an intake hole 2a in a cylinder head 2 communicates to the upper chamber 6. The inlet of communicating pipe 1a extends above the upper chamber 6. The intermediate partition plate 5 is provided with a communicating hole 8 affording communication between the upper and lower chambers 6, 7 so that the lower chamber 7 forms a resonance chamber. Thus, the pressure pulsation in suction is attenuated by the silencing effect of the upper chamber 6 in the muffler 1. Further, since the lower chamber 7 acts as a resonance type silencer for pressure pulsation component in the upper chamber 6, a wide silencing effect is provided.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize the noise and oscillation of a compressor by providing a straight part at the one turn of the end edge of a cylindrical spring which is inserted in a discharge pipe, and forming inner diameter facing the straight part smaller than the outer diameter of the discharge pipe for giving a dislocation preventing function to the cylindrical spring. CONSTITUTION:A discharge side muffler 6 which is disposed at a compressor element 2 elastically-supported inside a closed container 1 is connected with a discharge side connecting pipe 8 which is silver-soldered to the container 1 by the discharge pipe 7 where a cylindrical spring 9 is inserted. Besides, the inner diameter which faces the straight part 10 of one turn of the end edge of the cylindrical spring 9 is formed smaller than the outer diameter 12 of the discharge pipe 7. Therefore, even if a load is applied to the cylindrical spring 9 which is inserted in the discharge pipe 7 at the time of transportation or starting/stopping a compressor, the cylindrical spring 9 is prevented from being dislocated, so it is possible to ensure the stable oscillation transmission damping function of the cylindrical spring 9.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce vibration of a closed casing, and reduce noise by providing metallic bellowses in the middle of a suction line and a delivery line in the closed casing. CONSTITUTION:A metallic bellows 20 is communicated airtightly with a suction pipe 21 and an insertion pipe 22, and the insertion pipe 22 is inserted into an inlet hole of a muffler 5 through an elastic body 23. A metallic bellows 26 connected consecutively to a delivery line 25 to communicate a delivery muffler 9 fixed to a compression element 3 with a delivery pipe 24, is also provided. Thereby, vibration of the compression element 3 is transmitted to a closed casing 1 after being absorbed significantly by the metallic bellowses 20 and 26. Thereby, vibration of the closed casing 1 for which low vibration is desired by users can be restrained in equal to or smaller than 10 microns.
