Abstract: Disclosed is a CPAP breathing mask system with a headgear and cushion module and a seal and frame module that provide a better air-tight seal between the mask and the user’s face, while the breathing air tube is routed within or forms part of the headgear straps. The patient interface used for treatment of sleep disordered breathing comprises a seal and frame module including a sealing portion adapted to form a nasal seal with a patient’s face and a frame portion adapted to form a breathing chamber, the seal and frame module being of a single piece construction of silicone. An air delivery tube is provided to a lateral portion of the frame portion to deliver breathable gas to the seal and frame module; and headgear straps including fabric and structured to support the patient interface on the patient’s face. One or more of the headgears straps is structured to contain the air delivery tube within the fabric.

The reservoir may comprise a removable intermediate portion, which may include the inlet tube and/or the outlet tube, for improved access for cleaning. The reservoir may also be configured to prevent overfilling. Overfill prevention features in the reservoir may include defined flow egress paths and/or formation of air locks.
