Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bubble detection method and a device capable of detecting comparatively easily existence of bubbles in a liquid, even in the case of the liquid flowing in a liquid transport pipe having a section shape difficult to be deformed for bubble detection. SOLUTION: In this bubble detection method, an ultrasonic wave is transmitted to the liquid from the side of the liquid transport pipe wherein the liquid flows, and the ultrasonic wave passing through the liquid is received, and the bubbles in the liquid are detected based on the received ultrasonic wave. The method is characterized by executing ultrasonic wave transmission/reception on detection positions to the number of n (n: an integer of two or higher) separated in the flowing direction of the liquid in the liquid transport pipe.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer image-deterioration free toner-image by having a developing means which forms a toner image from a latent image on an image carrier by the use of liquid developer containing toner particles whose charge hold rate has a specific value or above, and a means which transfers the toner image to a transfer material from the image carrier. SOLUTION: On the surface of the photoreceptor 2 the electrostatic latent image is formed with light emitted from an exposure means. A developing means 8 has a first developing unit 8a - a fourth developing unit 8d. In the first developing unit 8a for example, a developing roller 13a and a main squeeze roller 14a are arranged parallel with each other in a liquid vessel 25a holding the liquid developer containing the toner particles having a charge hold rate of 50% or more. At the development time, the developing units 8a-8d are moved one after another in that order to a latent-image formation means 27 by a drive means, electrostatic latent images are formed successively based on information on print subjected to color separation, and they are transferred onto the recording material 6 held on a transfer drum 3.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high quality printing of a precise picture pattern on a building material having irregularities on its surface by a method wherein desired printing is performed thereon by spraying ink droplets by using ink jet technology. SOLUTION: Upon a coating command from a control means, an outer wall panel 10 is coated with a paint for rough coating and is conveyed to a portion with a plurality of ink jet heads 4. Each ink jet head 4 ejects ink having different color, then desired print P is formed by ink droplets of each color. In a print device 1, the operation of each continuous type ink jet head 4 using ink jet technology is controlled by the control means. As a result, the print device 1 can easily apply the high quality print P such as precise colored picture pattern on the outer wall panel 10. The outer wall panel 10 with the print P is conveyed to a drying device 5 by means of a conveyance belt 2b, then the ink of the print P is dried.

The latent image forming means 10 is irradiated with the light for exposure from an exposure means. Continuous multi-level image data is converted into binary image data by a frequency modulation screening method, a latent image is formed on a latent carrier medium based on the converted binarized image data, the formed latent image is developed with liquid developer and a toner image is formed.

After image formation of a previous color, during image data production waiting time, it is preferable that the latent image supporting medium be separated from the intermediate transfer medium.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To restrain image flowing in a lateral direction by developing an electrostatic latent image in a state where a latent image carrying medium and an intermediate transfer medium are grounded and electrostatically charging the latent image carrying medium to have the same polarity as toner particles before an image is transferred on the intermediate transfer medium. CONSTITUTION: An intermediate transfer drum 31 is grounded and also press-contacted to a photoreceptor drum 11, so that toner images are successively laminated and transferred on the drum 31 every time the toner images of respective hues are developed by the developing units 21 to 24 of a developing means 20. After removing excess developer from the surface of the drum 11 where the toner image is developed by an auxiliary roller 71, the drum 11 is electrostatically charged to have the same polarity as the toner particles by a pretransfer charger 60. At such a time, the charger 60 electrostatically charges the drum 11 so that the absolute value of surface potential in an area where the developed toner image exists may be lower than the absolute value in the area where the image does not exist. Therefore, a confinment effect for the toner particles in the lateral direction is achieved in addition to a fixing effect and a transfer electric field reinforcing effect for the developed toner image, and the image flowing in the lateral direction is restrained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily and accurately find the relative surface tilt angle between mirror surfaces by photodetecting a reflected light form the polygon mirror by photodetectors arranged above and below about the scanning direction of the reflected beam. CONSTITUTION:The polygon mirror 1 is irradiated with the light beam 3 from a light source 2 and its reflected beam 4 is photodetected 5. This photodetection part 5 consists of the upper photodetector 51a and lower photodetector 51b about the scanning direction 53 of the beam 4. Then the photodetectors 51a and 51b are moved up and down so that the outputs of the photodetectors 51a and 51b are equal to each other, and their movement positions are read by a measurement and display part 6 to obtain the direction center position of the beam 4. Namely, the direction position of the beam 4 between mirror surfaces is found and the direction position distance DELTAX between the mirror surfaces is found, so that the surface tilt angle theta is found from theta=DELTAX/2L, where L is the distance between a mirror surface of the polygon mirror 1 and the photodetection part 5.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily mount a paper, by a method wherein a driving motor is turned OFF when a gripper gripping a continuous form paper comes to a fixed position, and paper-feeding chains are traveled under inertia by a fixed distance, the chains are stopped by dynamic braking, and the paper is engaged with a paper-feeding tractor. CONSTITUTION:The paper-feeding chains 7, 8 simultaneously driven by the motor 6 are provided on the outside of the paper-feeding tractor 1, and the gripper 9 is bridgingly provided between the chains 7, 8. The continuous form paper 12 is provided with holes 13 on both sides thereof, and is fed in the direction of an arrow while being gripped by the gripper 9. When the gripper 9 passes over the tractor 1 and the front end of a reflecting plate 11 is detected by a photo-electric detector 10, the motor 6 is turned OFF, after which the chains 7, 8 travel under intertia. When the rear end of the reflecting plate 11 is detected, the chains 7, 8 are stopped by dynamic braking, resulting in that the feed holes 13 of the paper 12 are located at positions directly above pins 4 of the tractor 1. Accordingly, mounting of the paper 1 is completed by rotating paper-lifting bars 14, 15.

A flow passage disposed between a valve 4 and the discharge nozzle 5 hole is pressurized to discharge the coating material from the discharge nozzle 5 when a valve 4 for opening and closing the flow passages disposed in the coating material flow passages to the discharge nozzle 5 is held closed by the valve 4 described above and a pressurizing device for pressurizing the flow passages described above.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the soiling of an image caused by toner grains remaining on a developing roller and to stably form the image without the soiling of a blank part and irregularities in printing over a long period by controlling the surface roughness of the developing roller to the grain diameter or below of a toner average grain. SOLUTION: The surface roughness of the developing roller 21b functioning as a developing electrode is controlled to the average grain diameter or below of a toner grain, preferably, half or below of the toner average grain diameter. Thus, the depth d2 of a hollow on the surface of the developing roller 21b, depending on its surface roughness is narrower than the grain diameter or depth d3 is narrow than half of the grain diameter, so that the occurrence of the situation where the toner grain enters the hollow, for instance, can be suppressed. Consequently, even the toner grain being in the hollow can surely be scraped from the hollow by contact with a scraper 21d in contact with the surface of the developing roller 21b, and removed from the surface of the roller 21b.
