Abstract: A composition comprising a black rice extract is provided. The composition, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the black rice extract and has an effect of preventing and alleviating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) that can be induced by ingestion of a fat-containing diet. The composition has an effect of increasing PPARα which oxidizes fatty acids in the liver tissue.
