    Abstract: A novel process for manufacturing black ginseng with anti-cancer activity and a composition containing the same are provided to shorten manufacturing time and enable mass production by washing ginseng and repeating drying and steaming at proper temperature and time. A process for manufacturing black ginseng comprises the steps of: washing 5 year old green ginseng and firstly drying the washed ginseng at 35~55°C for 20~28hr; putting the dried ginseng in earthenware and firstly steaming at 85~105°C for 5~7hr; secondly drying the steamed ginseng at 50~70°C for 9~15hr; secondly steaming at 95~125°C for 5~7hr; and thirdly drying for 12hr. The dried black ginseng or extracts are pulverized to a particle of 50~200mum, and then can be prepared into the composition such as a pill, a capsule or a tablet.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an edible film compound capable of be used in food packaging and the like and, more specifically, to a film composition comprising proteins extracted from sesame seed meal and a manufacturing method thereof. The edible film comprising the proteins extracted from sesame seed meal of the present invention is able to be used as a processed food packing material since tensile strength is 4.6 times higher than that of generally isolated soy proteins and permeability is 1.1 times lower than that of the generally isolated soy proteins. The edible film is able to reduce production costs in film manufacture by using low-priced sesame seed meal which is byproducts, is environment-friendly as compared to an existing plastic packing material and is able to be usefully used as a processed food packing material since the film is edible. Especially, the film of the present invention is able to be used as a packing material for meat processed foods which is closely related to fat oxidation due to light sine the film has an opaque color.
