Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for controlling a power save mode in a wireless mobile Internet system and a method therefor are provided to reduce complexity of a system and facilitate its management by grouping management of subscriber terminals and collectively controlling them. CONSTITUTION: A message receiver(210) receives a sleep mode request message from a subscriber terminal. A message analyzer(220) analyzes the sleep mode request message and extracts a minimum sleep period, a maximum sleep period and a subscriber terminal ID. A grouping controller(240) determines a sleep mode entering point of the subscriber terminal which has requested the sleep mode based on the minimum sleep period and the maximum sleep period in order to group listening periods of a plurality of subscriber terminals. A memory unit(260) stores sleep mode information of the grouped subscriber terminal. A message transmitter(280) informs the sleep mode-requested subscriber terminal about the minimum sleep period, the maximum sleep period and the sleep mode entering point.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An agent and method for automatically installing PDA(Personal Digital Agent) application software is provided to install an instant update agent, executing simple and repeated work instead of a user, at an individual user terminal. If information that new information has been posted on the web arrives from the WIM, the CM loads option information stored in a user terminal(333). In case that it is information corresponding to an alarm function, the CM informs the user of it(335). Abstract: In a method for performing a multipoint video conference in a video conferencing system and a computer-readable record media storing a plurality of instructions for performing the method, the floor is given to participants of a conference so that the multipoint video conference can be progressed without a necessity of an MCU, and audio/video streams of the participants who actually utter in the conference can be selectively transmitted according to a capability of a transmission system. In the inventive method and recording medium, the method includes a first step of performing an initializing work so that a chairman of the conference can manage the conference based on a multipoint type; a second step of giving a given floor to a large number of participants who request the floor after the initializing work, through an active multipoint controller (MC); and a third step of selectively transmitting an audio and video stream of the participants who substantially utter in the conference according to the capability of an active transmission system in order to execute the given floor, thereby being utilized in a video conferencing system.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for estimating motion for a low rate video codec is provided to reduce hardware requirement such as an address generator and a controller, and to decrease the memory bandwidth of the entire system. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for estimating motion for a low rate video codec includes a reference block, a local memory(100), an inter/intra determination information provider(120), a motion vector estimator(136), and a controller(130). The reference block corresponds to a macro block of the video memory. The local memory(100) stores a block data(102). The inter/intra determination information provider(120) averages the data from the local memory and sums the differences between each pixel and the averaged value. The controller(130) controls the address for I/O of the local memory, the address for manipulation of the local sums of the motion vector estimator, and the address for generating the vector according to a state counter and a state controller(131).
