Abstract: PURPOSE: A height control device of a seat for a vehicle is provided to easily use the height control device by forming a locking part and maintaining the state of a piston withdrawn according to the pulling action of a lever and to improve safety. CONSTITUTION: A height control device of a seat for a vehicle includes a housing(10), a piston(11) elastically connected to the inside of the housing by a spring(25), and a lever(12) integrally connected to the end of the piston. The height control device controls the height of the seat by the up-and-down control of the piston withdrawn according to the pulling operation of the lever. The height control device comprises a rack gear(14) mounted parallel with the piston inside the housing; a button(13) taking pushing operation elastically supported by a spring(24) inside the lever; and a horizontal member(17) arranged parallel inside the piston. The front end of the horizontal member is connected to the button and a hinge(19) via the lever. The horizontal member is locked to the rack gear via the use of a rear-end locking part(18) to be selectively projected/received according to the pushing operation of the button.
