Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing n-butyraldehyde and/or nbutanol, whereby a) 1.3 butadiene or hydrocarbon mixtures containing butadiene are reacted with an alcohol of the formula (I) ROH wherein the radical R is an unsubstituted C2- to C20-alkyl- or alkenyl- or a C2- to C20-alkyl- or alkenylsubstituted with 1 to 2 C1- to C10-alkoxy- or hydroxy groups, a C6- to C10aryl- or a C7- to C11- arylkyl group or methyl group at a high temperature and under high pressure in the presence of a bronsted acid or in the presence of a complex of an element from group IA, VIIA or VIIIA of the periodic table of elements with ligands containing phosphor or nitrogen to form a mixture of adducts of formulae (II) and (III); b) isomerizing adduct (III) to adduct (II); c) converting adduct (III) into acetal of formula (IV) in the presence of a sufficient quantity of an alcohol ROH I to form acetal (IV) and a homogeneous or heterogeneous transitional metal element catalyst which is different from dicobaltoctacarbonyl or hydridocobalttetracarbonyl in the liquid phase in essentially water-free conditions and d) then reacting this acetal (IV) with hydrogen and water or water in the presence of a homogenous or heterogeneous transitional metal element catalyst which is different from dicobaltoctacarbonyl or hydridocobalttetracarbonyl in liquid phase to produce n-butyraldehyde and/or n-butanol and releasing the alcohol ROH I and returning the released alcohol ROH I to the reaction in accordance with partial reaction a) and/or c).

Abstract: In a process for producing n-butyraldehyde and/or n-butanol, (a) 1,3-butadiene is reacted with an alcohol having the formula ROH, in which the residue R stands for a non-substituted C2-C20-alkyl or alkenyl group that may also be substituted by 1 or 2 C1-C10-alkoxy or hydroxy groups, a C6-C10-aryl or C7-C11-aralkyl group or the methyl group, at a higher temperature and pressure in the presence of a Brönsted acid or in the presence of a compound of an element from groups IB, VIIb or VIIIb of the periodic table of elements with phosphoric or nitrogenated ligands, so as to produce a mixture of addition compounds having the formulas (II) and (III); (b) the addition compound III is isomerised into the addition compound II; (c) the addition compound II is isomerised in the presence of a homogeneous or heterogeneous transition metal element catalyst in liquid phase or in the presence of a heterogeneous transition metal element-containing catalyst in gaseous phase, so as to produce an enol ether having the formula (IV); and (d) n-butyraldehyde and/or n-butanol are generated by reacting said enol ether IV with hydrogen and water or with water in the presence of a homogeneous or heterogeneous transition metal element catalyst in the liquid phase or in the presence of a heterogeneous transition metal element-containing catalyst in the gaseous phase. The alcohol ROH released is recycled into the partial reaction (a).

Las olefinas corresponden a la formula general (I), en donde R1 representa hidrogeno y R2 es radicales de carbono lineales o ramificados teniendo 7 - 28 atomos de carbono, o R1 y R2 respectivamente representan radicales de carbono lineales o ramificados teniendo 1 - 27 atomos de carbono, por lo que el numero de atomos de carbono de R1 y R2 es, a lo mucho, 28. La invencion tambien se refiere a eteres de poliolalquilo que se derivan de compuestos que tienen al menos tres funciones de hidroxi, o todas las funciones de hidroxi hasta que una es reemplazada por un grupo de la formula general (VIII). La invencion se refiere ademas a dichos eteres de polioalquilo como agentes tensioactivos y dichos agentes de lavado y limpieza conteniendo eteres de polioalquilo (ver formulas (I) y (VIII)).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of propene by multiple execution of the following sequence of steps, whereby in step 1 a mixture M1, essentially comprising unbranched C4- to C9 monoolefins (Components 04-9), 0 to 15 mol. % ethylene (component E), based on the components 04-9, 0 to 100 mol. % saturated hydrocarbons (components KG), based on the components 04-9, 0 to 30 mol. % olefins with more than 9 hydrocarbon atoms (components 0>9), based on components 04-9, 0 to 1 mol. %, based on the components 04-9, propene (component 03), 0 to 10 mol. %, based on the components 04-9, of other hydrocarbons (components KS), is brought into contact with a metathesis catalyst at a temperature of 20 to 350° C., with the proviso that the molar proportion of the sum of the 1-olefins and the sum of the 2-olefins to the sum of the components 04-9 and 0>9 is at least 0.5%, so long as the mixture M1 is not simultaneously or previously subjected to an isomerisation, correspondingly changing the proportion of 1- and 2-olefins, thus producing a mixture M2. In step II a mixture M1 is produced from a mixture M2 whereby a) propene and optionally components 0>9 and components KS are completely or partially removed and b) amounts of components 04-09 are added, a maximum of 1 mol. % of component E, based on the added amounts of components 04-09 and optionally other saturated or olefinically-unsaturated hydrocarbons, based on the added amounts of components 04-09, are added.
