    Abstract: A polymeric stabilizing agent selected from poly-lysine derivatives obtained by the process comprising the steps of: I. heating an aqueous lysine solution to boiling II. increasing temperature of the aqueous lysine solution to a reaction temperature in the range of about 105°C to about 180°C Ill. keep the reaction temperature in the range of about 105°C to about 180°C until i. melt viscosity of the reaction mixture in the range of about 350 mPa*s to about 6,500 mPa*s when measured at 160°C and ii. an amine number in the range of about 100 mg KOH/g to about 500 mg KOH/g is achieved IV. optionally, the vacuum applied is released V. add alkyl-carboxylic acid or alkenyl-carboxylic acid in amounts of 2.5 mol% to 10 mol%, relative to the theoretical amount of poly-lysine comprised in the reaction mixture VI. increase or keep the reaction temperature in the range of about 105°C to about 180°C until number of free alkyl-carboxylic acid or alkenyl-carboxylic acid is ≤ 9% by weight, relative to the total weight of the reaction mixture, wherein vacuum is applied either in step (a), (b) and/or (c) and water is removed continuously during the whole process.

    Abstract: La invención se refiere a poliésteres ramificados con grupos sulfonato. Los poliésteres se pueden obtener al hacer reaccionar los componentes A, B, opcionalmente C y opcionalmente D en poliésteres ramificados, en donde el componente A se selecciona a partir del grupo que consiste de ácidos dicarboxílicos a,ß-olefínicamente insaturados, el componente B se selecciona a partir del grupo que consiste de alcoholes disfuncionales o funcionales superiores, el componente C opcional se selecciona a partir del grupo que consiste de ácidos carboxílicos disfuncionales o funcionales superiores y ácidos hidroxicarboxílicos sin enlaces a,ß-olefínicamente insaturados, y el componente D opcional se selecciona a partir de los compuestos de la fórmula CH3(-O-CH2-CH2)n-OH, con la condición de que si sólo se seleccionan alcoholes disfuncionales como componente B, el componente C está presente durante la reacción y se selecciona a partir de los ácidos carboxílicos trifuncionales o funcionales superiores y los ácidos hidroxicarboxíficos trifuncionales o funcionales superiores sin enlaces a,ß-olefínicamente insaturados. Los poliésteres ramificados obtenidos posteriormente reaccionan con sulfito de hidrógeno, la cantidad molar de sulfito de hidrógeno siendo a lo mucho 95% molar, con respecto a la cantidad de ácidos dicarboxílicos a,ß-olefínicamente insaturados.
