Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the heat accumulation to the liquid on a heating element to a large extent while enhancing discharge effect and discharge pressure by positioning a separation wall by a strike-against reference part and the end part on the upstream side in the liquid flow direction of a liquid passage wall to fit the same in a grooved member. SOLUTION: Movable members 31 are arranged in the liquid passages 10 of a grooved member 1 or on passage walls 10a and the grooved member 1 is vibrated by a vibration means such as a vibrator to generate the movement of the separation wall 30 in the arranging direction of the movable member 1 and the movable member 31 is fitted in the liquid passage of the grooved member 1. Further, the grooved member 1 is inclined so that the end part on the upstream side in the liquid flow direction of the liquid passage wall 10a becomes upward and, by vibrating the grooved member 1, the separation wall 30 is struck against the front strike reference part 4 and side surface strike reference part of the grooved member 1 to fit the separation wall 30 in the grooved member 1. The movable member 31 is fitted in the groove becoming the liquid passage 10 and the damage of the movable member 31 is not generated at a time of the alignment of the grooved member 1 and the element substrate.

Further, a discharge flow path through which the dischargeable liquid flows is formed by injectioning the element substrate 1 with the grooves member 50. An orifice film 51 for blocking the opening 52 of the grooved member 50 is bonded to the grooved member 50.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the distance between a heater adapted to discharge ink and an orifice and to improve the close contact connection of a board that no crosstalk occurs to a top plate by providing one or more recesses at the corner formed at the intersection of the plate of a second member and the connecting surface. SOLUTION: One or more recesses are formed at the corner formed at the intersection between the plate of a second member and a connecting surface, and the ridge to become the one end face of the first member is connected to as to be disposed near the recess of the second member, thereby ensuring the distance between the heater adapted to discharge the ink and the orifice without depending upon the accuracy of an edge shape such as a fillet shape of the corner at the time of manufacturing a top plate. Specifically, recesses 10 are provided in the direction for arranging grooves 3 so that the virtual line (points) of the corner G becomes the side face of the orifice plate 6 side of the recess. The reference characters (a) and (b) are depths of the recesses in the Y and Z direction, i.e., widths of the recesses 10.

Thereby, the expanded volume of bubbles generated in ink by heat of the discharge heater 2 is made comparatively large. As a result, when bubbles are broken, strength of cavitation is made large and scorching stuck to the ejection heater 2 is removed in accordance therewith.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To diminish damages of an ink path and an energy generating element caused by an adhesive by a method wherein a member, where a recessed part is formed as the ink path, is bonded on a substrate by an adhesive layer and an open path that stretches from the joint between the substrate and the member toward the outside is formed on the member. CONSTITUTION: A member 1 where a recessed part is formed as an ink path is provided on a substrate 4 and an orifice 2, an adhesive accumulation pocket 3 and an open path 5 to expel excess adhesive and gas outside are also formed on the member 1. By this constitution, excess adhesive can be expelled outside and gas produced from the adhesive can be prevented from filling inside when the member 1 is bonded on the substrate 4 by the adhesive. Therefore, adhesive and gas that is produced when the adhesive sets are prevented from entering an energy generating element, ink paths, ink paths through minute gaps between the member 1 and substrate 4, so that the energy generating elements, ink paths, orifices, etc., can be prevented from being polluted.

The widths W1 of the walls 206 corresponding to the gaps of a heater board 100 are widened so as to become 36mum. That is, the passages 202 holding the gaps therebetween are shifted in pitch by a left and right. By this constitution, both adjacent walls become small so that W2=12mum is formed and the pitches of the passages 202 become P, P-alpha P+2alpha, P-alpha and P. Further, orifices 203 are provided at the pitch P corresponding to the arrangement pitch of emitting energy generation elements.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of liquid remaining in a container by compressing a plurality of elastic porous bodies, and by charging these porous bodies in the container so that the porous bodies are adjacent to only another porous member in the center part of the container in order to obtain a homogenous or desired compressive distribution. CONSTITUTION:Movable walls 103bx, 103ax are moved in a direction indicated by the arrow X so as to allow the longitudinal compression of a liquid preserving container, so as to complete the compression for flake porous bodies. Further, a piston 105 is also moved in a direction indicated by the arrow Z together with movable walls 103ax, 103bx, 103ay which form a charge guide. After the charge guide is inserted into the liquid reserving container, the piston 105 is moved in the direction of the arrow Z so as to compress the flake porous bodies which are therefore compressed in three directions, horizontally and vertically, within the container before the compression step is completed. Thereafter, the charge guide is moved upward while the piston 10 is retained as it is, and accordingly, the charging of the frame porous bodies are completed.
