    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent voltage stability from deteriorating by operating a switching regulator at a frequency N or 1/N times the frequency of a master switching regulator. CONSTITUTION:The power of a power source 10, after it is rectified and smoothed, is supplied to a master switching regulator(MSR) 13 and slave switching regulators(SSR) 14, 15A, and 15B. For switching, the regulator MSR 13 oscillates at 130kHz when a display control circuit 6 is turned off; it oscillates at 126kHz being four times the horizontal deflection synchronous frequency of a horizontal and vertical deflection control circuit 7 when the display control circuit 6 is turned on. The regulators SSR 15A, 15B oscillate at frequencies 1/4 and 1/2 times that of the MSR 13 respectively for switching. By oscillating all the SSRs synchronized with the MSR 13, a beat phenomenon is prevented from being generated.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly guide a user who is using an electrical appliance to effectively use the result of a battery diagnosis or the like. SOLUTION: This system is provided with: a notebook-sized PC (notebook- sized personal computer) 10 connected to a network 20 and equipped with a battery for supplying power to the main body by performing battery charging/ discharging; and a management server 30 connected to the network 20 for diagnosing the battery of the notebook-sized PC 10. This notebook-sized PC 10 accesses a Web page provided by the management server 30 through the network 20 by using a browser, designates a URL in an HTML document transmitted from the management server 30, and transmits the information file of the battery to the management server 30. Then, the management server 30 reads the information file, analyzes the information of the battery, determines whether a security period has expired, and transmits the analysis result to the notebook-sized PC 10.     Abstract: PURPOSE: To minimize variation in high voltage on the output line of a flyback transformer by using compensation voltage pulses of a 2nd frequency higher than a 1st frequency supplied to the flyback transformer. CONSTITUTION: A control circuit 2 is triggered with a horizontal synchronizing pulse and its output is sent to a horizontal deflecting circuit 3, whose output passes through the flyback transformer FBT 11 and a diode 13 to charge a smoothing capacitor 12, so that a high DC voltage is generated on an output line 14 and supplied to the anode 15 of a CRT. Pulses of 70kHz are made into a pulse train 140kHz by a multiplexing circuit 17 and the pulse train is applied to a compensation circuit 18. The circuit 18 responds to an error signal from an error detector 21 and a compensation voltage is applied to a point 28 between capacitors 12 and 20 through a transformer 19. An LPF 29 is connected to the point 28 and FBT 11 and the compensation voltage is applied to the FBT 11.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can identify a backup charging state of a battery, indicate the state and is convenient for a user to use. SOLUTION: An intelligent battery 52 for charging/discharging is mounted to a computer apparatus which supplies a power to a system body from the intelligent battery 52. The system body has a battery connection confirmation terminal 76 via which the connection of the intelligent battery 52 is confirmed, an embedded controller 41 which, if the prescribed communication with the CPU 62 of the intelligent battery 52 cannot be carried out after the information that the intelligent battery 52 is in a connection state is obtained from the battery connection confirmation terminal 76, decides that the intelligent battery 52 is in the backup charging state, and a display which indicates that the intelligent battery 52 is in the charging state to a user when it is decided by the embedded controller 41 that the intelligent battery 52 is in the backup charging state.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FPC cable having advantageous noise-resisting performance, manufacturing costs, mount workability to a carriage and maintenance efficiency. SOLUTION: The FPC cable is comprised on an FPC 11, a spacer and a reinforcing plate. A head pad 102 where a head wire is bonded is formed at a pad formation part A of a pattern face 100a of the FPC 11. A preamplifier chip 101 is mounted to an element-mounting part B. The head pad 102 and preamplifier chip 101, and the preamplifier chip 101 and an end part at the side of an I/O are respectively linearly connected by wiring patterns 105a, 105b. A gap is formed in the spacer to store the preamplifier chip 101. The pad formation part A is folded to insert the reinforcing plate, and the spacer is engaged to the element-mounting part B, whereby an end part at the side of a magnetic head is constituted.
