    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate fusion of a contact to easily cut out an electric circuit so as to safely protect a motor winding by providing conductive liquid and an electrode instead of a contact. CONSTITUTION:A bimetallic strip 22, fixed electrode 23, bead glass 24, movable electrode 25, a part of first lead wire 26, a part of second lead wire 27 and conductive liquid 28 (for example, mercury) are enclosed in a sealing container 21 made of a glass tube. In ordinary operation of a compressor, the bimetallic strip is not actuated, the electrode 25 is dipped in the liquid 28, and an electric current flows through the lead wire 26, electrode 23, liquid 28, electrode 25, bimetallic strip 22 and lead wire 27 in sequence. When the bimetallic strip operates, at, the time of compressor malfunction, to lift the electrode 25 above a liquid level 29 of the liquid 28, the electrode 25 is separated from the liquid 28 to cut out an electric circuit and fusion is not caused between the liquid 28 and the electrode 25. Accordingly, a motor winding can be safely protected.

CONSTITUTION:A supporting device 24 consists of a suspension spring 25, cylindrical snap bar 26, and a snap bar stay 27 which is formed to the sperical surface which is nearly equal to the spherical surface of a sealed container 20 and whose edge part is fixed with the snap bar. Further, the snap bar stay 27 adheres to the spherical surface of the sealed container 20 by welding.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain good electrical insulating properties by forming one side of the end of the coil of the stator of an induction motor at a high stage and the other side at a low stage, and disposing the low stage on the side of the induction motor in contact with refrigerating machine oil, which induction motor drives a compression element. CONSTITUTION:The coil of the stator 2 of an induction motor 4 comprises a low-stage coil end 42a to which a small amount of molding of a coil end is allocated and a high-stage coil end 42b to which a large amount of molding of the coil end is allocated. The low-stage coil end 42a is disposed on the side of refrigerating machine oil 25 containing a refrigerant. The length by which the coil of the induction motor 4 is immersed in the refrigerant-contained refrigerating machine oil 25 is thereby reduced. The amount of electricity that leaks from the coil of a charged portion to a sealed container is thus reduced.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler of a hermetic compressor which effectively suppress a noise caused by a pulsatory sound generated from a compressive part of the hermetic compressor. SOLUTION: One end of a communication pipe 3 of a muffler A installed in an inhaling path of a coolant, is opened to the inside of a compressor through an upper space 1, and the other end is opened to a compressive part. The coolant is passed from the inside of the compressor to the compressive part through the communication pipe 3, and thereby a pulsatory sound generated from the compressive part is attenuated by a resonant noise-reducing structure between a resonance chamber 6 and a resonance hole 7 opened thereto. An opened sectional area S and a hole length (l) of the resonance hole 7 are formed, as they satisfy the relation; f=(c/2π)√(S/V1), against a resonance frequency (f) inside the compressor. When the pulsatory sound enters at the speed of sound (c) from the resonance hole 7, having the sectional area S and the length (l) against the volume V of the resonance chamber 6, a component of the resonance frequency (f) inside the compressor is attenuated by the resonance, to thereby suppress a noise generation caused by the resonance frequency (f) of the compressor.

The plane I represents a plane vertical to a crankshaft 11 passing through a center axis of the piston 10, and planes II, III represent planes vertical to the crankshaft 11 passing through the center of gravity of the upper/lower part balance weights 18, 19 of a rotor. In this way, generation of noise according to vibration in mechanical and motor parts can be suppressed.
