    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen enriched film excellent in oxygen permeability coefficient and separation coefficient, by providing side chains with predetermined siloxane bonds, in a film material based on styrene. CONSTITUTION:The permselective membrane consists of a polymer in which a main chain is based on polystyrene and which has 2-10 Si polyorganosiloxane groups as side chains. The polymer has, for example, a reccurring unit of formula I , wherein (n) is an integer of 2-10, each R is 1-10C alkyl or subst. alkyl, the groups R being identical or different, and (i) and (j) satisfy the relationship of formula II. The permselective membrane consisting of the polymer is provided on the surface of a porous film having micropores continuous in the thickness direction, whereby a composite film can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a fluoride type humidity separation membrane having a network structure formed by uniform porosity and suitable for precise filtration, by a method wherein a resin based on a vinylidene fluoride polymer is dissolved in a solvent and the obtained solution is formed into a membrane in a wet state. CONSTITUTION:A resin based on a vinylidene fluoride polymer, a vinylidene fluoride/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer or one prepared by mixing both polymer and copolymer in a range of 5/95-20/80 on the wt. basis is dissolved in dimethylsulfoxide or a solvent prepared by adding 5-15wt% glycerine to dimethylsulfoxide to obtain a stock liquid and this stock liquid is formed into a film in a coagulating bath such as a water bath under a wet condition to obtain a fluoride type wet separation membrane having a network structure of which the surface and the interior are formed from uniform multiple pores with pore sizes of 0.01-1mu and water content of 30% or more when water is contained. In addition, the above stated stock liquid can be formed into a hollow yarn separation membrane by dry and wet spinnings.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain separating membranes having permeabilities matching to the purposes in a same production step by a method wherein two kinds of methyl methacrylate copolymers are used and the blending of the copolymers and additives incorporated are controlled. CONSTITUTION:A methyl methacrylate copolymer containing 0.5-10mol% of a polymerizable monomer having a sulfonate group and a methyl methacrylate copolymer containing 0.5-10mol.% of a polymerizable monomer having a quarternary nitrogen group are prepared into a membrane by using as a membrane- forming liquid a solution containing the copolymers in dimethyl sulfoxide, with a mixing ratio of (number of sulfonate groups)/(number of quarternary nitrogen groups) in the range of 5/1-1/5 and a polymer concentration of 5-35wt%. The semipermeable membrane thus obtained is substantially impermeable to albumin and has a water permeability rate of 1-2,000ml/hr.m .mm.Hg.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A separating membrane especially useful for a hemocatharsis system, exhibiting a wide range of permeability corresponding to purposes through blending or adjustment of an additive, etc. by the same production process, obtained from a mixture of specific two kinds of methyl methacrylate copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A methyl methacrylate copolymer containing 0.5-10mol% sulfonic acid group-containing polymerizable monomer, preferably sodium p-styrene sulfonate is blended with a methyl methacrylate copolymer containing 0.5-10mol% quaternary nitrogen group-containing polymerizable monomer, preferably 2-metha- cryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride in a weight ratio 1:9-9:1, preferably 2:1-1:2. The average molecular weight of these polymer materials is >=1000,000, preferably 200,000-800,000 in blending. Dimethyl sulfoxide is preferable as a solvent.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To recover formaldehyde (H) effectively, by heating H in stripping step between the dissolving and regeneration of cellulose under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:A cellulose solution, obtained by heating cellulose, dimethyl sulfoxide, and excess low-polymerization degree polyoxymethylene (P), is heated at 115-135 deg.C, preferably 120-130 deg.C, for 0.5-5hr to strip and recover formaldehyde within the range below the amount of P and formaldehyde formed through decomposition of P of 0.2pts.wt. per unit weight of the cellulose.
