    Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep peeling performance of a film from a casting drum always favorable, by a method wherein a uniform water film is formed by making an interval between a water film forming part and the casting drum appropriate. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a casting drum 4, water film forming device 7 and resin supply device 5. The water film forming device 7 is arrangeable by being confronted with the surface of the drum at fixed intervals and for formation of the water film on the surface of the drum. The resin supply device 5 is to supply sheetlike molten resin to the drum on the surface of which the water film is formed by the water film forming device 7. Then the water film forming device 7 is arranged at intervals of 1-5mm from the surface of the drum at the time of formation of the water film.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance control accuracy of thickness of a sheet-shaped material by grasping the corresponding relation between a discharged molten material thickness adjusting means of a cap and the thickness distribution of the sheet-shaped material after molding by means of a Karman filter and controlling the thickness of the sheet- shaped material based on said relation. CONSTITUTION:Molten resin 22 discharged in the shape of a sheet from a cap 21 passes through the sheet-shaped material molding process and molded into a film 26 of given thickness. Then, measured data by thickness gages 28, 29 and 30 are put into a CPU 31. On the other hand, a number of adjusting bolts 32 to adjust slit of the cap 21 are disposed by small pitches, and the expansion amount of its Y-Y direc tion is adjusted by the temperature control of a heater 35, based upon which the slit space of a slit-shaped discharge outlet 33 and the thickness of the discharged sheet can be adjusted. As a Karman filter is incorporated in the CPU 31, the thickness distribution of the film can correspond with respective adjusting bolts 32 of the cap 21 after respective processes, and the thickness profile is controlled close to the target value with high accuracy.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the poor molding at the edge of a film and an air trapping from developing and realize a stable molding by a method wherein the flow of air, which flows from nozzle edge part sides into the direction of a resin film, is controlled and straightened at the widthwise edge parts of the resin film in the nozzle. SOLUTION: The flow and amount of air, which flows from the edge part sides of a nozzle 1 into the direction of a resin film 2, are controlled with a flow straightening means 11 provided at the edge parts of the nozzle 1. Since the above flow and amount is controlled by the size of the flow straightening means 11, the nozzle 1 and the position of the flow straightening means to a gap between the nozzle 1 and the casting surface 5, a proper controlling can be realized by installing the flow straightening means having an optimum size at an optimum position. The inflowing air through the edge parts of the nozzle 1 largely affects the moldability of the edge of the resin film 2 and the air trapping between the resin film 2 and the casting surface 5. The proper controlling of the inflowing air flow brings the stable adhesion of the resin film 2 on the traveling casting surface 5. Thus, the moldability of the edge part of the resin film 2 can be improved, the air trapping between the resin film 2 and the casting surface 5 can be prevented from developing and a favorable quality and stable molding can be realized.

A detection signal of the side tip location of the film 1 by the first detection means 41 is transmitted to a control device 43 as a control means. In the control device 43, the film 1 to be introduced next into an entrance part of the tentering device 3 is switched in the traveling direction by a film traveling direction switching means 8 based on a signal from the first detection means 41. Next, the control device 43 controls a clamping location by a clip 5 to be a clamping means of the film 1 to be introduced into the tentering device 3.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sheet stably at high speed under high efficiency by a method wherein a blade-like electrostatic applicator is provided in the neighborhood of the lending point of a thermoplastic resin sheet to a cooling rotator and, in addition, the widthwise end parts of the thermoplastic resin sheet is pressed to a cooling rotator side with a pressing means provided in the neighborhood of the landing point. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin is widthwise broader at a mouthpiece 1 and then discharged into the form of a thermoplastic resin sheet 3 and quenched after being landed to a cooling rotator 2. In the neighborhood of this landing pint 2, a blade-like electrostatic applicator 4 is provided over nearly the whole surface of the thermoplastic resin sheet 3. The electrostatic applicator 4 is connected to a DC high tension power source so as to apply electrostatic charge to the thermoplastic resin sheet 3 so as to bring the sheet into close contact with the surface of the cooling rotator 2. In addition, at least one edge part of the sheet in the neighborhood of the landing point 8, a pressing means 9, in which a gas jetting device or the like is employed, is provided. As a result, the end part of the thermoplastic resin sheet 3 is prevented from getting inside out, resulting in realizing the efficient application of electrostatic charge to the thermoplastic resin sheet 3.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To neatly take up a broad film after being made into the film and further realize the favorable planeness of a product by a method wherein the thickness of the film is set to be more than a specified thickness and the ratio between the surface roughnesses of the front and of the surfaces of the film is set to be a specified value or less. SOLUTION: The thickness of a biaxially oriented polyester film is limited to be 50μm or more, preferably to 70μm or more and more preferably to 100μm or more. The ratio between the surface roughness Ra of the front and of the rear surfaces of the film must be 1.3 or less, preferably 1.255 or less and more preferably 1.2 or less. When the ratio between the surface roughnesses of the front and of the rear surfaces of the film goes wide of the above-mentioned range, unpreferably poor conveyability at the process of the film and poor taken-up state at the cutting of a product. Polyester, which is enough dried, is fed to various extruders and passed through a filter, which is selected in response to necessity, and melt-extruded through a mouthpiece slit into a shape of a film. The filmy polyester is quenched and solidified into an amorphous state by being cast on a casting film, the temperature of which is controlled to be 20-60 deg.C.
