Abstract: PURPOSE: An intake manifold of a vehicle is provided to reduce manufacturing cost by connecting a PCV valve to a rotary shaft without a separate lubricating device. CONSTITUTION: An intake manifold of a vehicle comprises tank, zip tubes(10,25), runners(30,35) and varying member. The tank stabilizes the air coming from a throttle body. The zip tube is branched from the tank. A plurality of runners is individually connected with each cylinder of an engine and is connected to the zip tube. The varying member consecutively varies the zip tube and the runner and is mounted on one side of the zip tube and the runner.

Abstract: An exhaust manifold structure is provided to improve endurance of an exhaust manifold by allowing the exhaust manifold to be uniformly heated or cooled when the exhaust manifold is repeatedly heated by exhaust gas or cooled by external air. An exhaust manifold structure comprises an exhaust manifold body(11), which has a hollow section therein and an opening at one side thereof, and a flange(12). The exhaust manifold body has two runner plates(10) arranged in the vertical direction and welded to each other. The flange is welded to the peripheral portion of the opening of the exhaust manifold body. The flange is formed with a plurality of bolt insertion holes such that the exhaust manifold body is coupled with a cylinder head of an engine through a bolt and a nut. Four runner pipes(13) are integrally attached to the flange such that exhaust gas of the engine is introduced into an exhaust manifold.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling a temperature of cooling water in a vehicle are provided to prevent an engine from being overheated by controlling a cooling fan according to a temperature measured from a head gasket. CONSTITUTION: A head gasket(10) is installed between a cylinder head and a cylinder block. A first temperature detecting sensor(12) is positioned on the head gasket(10). A second temperature detecting sensor(14) is provided adjacent to a water pump in order to detect a temperature of cooling water. The water pump circulates cooling water through a cooling water passage and a radiator. A control unit(16) is provided to determine whether an engine is overheated or not by receiving temperature information from the first and the second temperature detecting sensors(12,14). A cooling fan driving section(18) operates a cooling fan based on a control of a control unit(16). An alarm section(20) is provided to notify an error of a cooling system.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An enhancement of power output of an engine, considering the variation of the coolant temperature according to driving condition, is provided to cool down a high-temperature coolant generated during changing the long, but low speed to the above average speed or driving at average speed rapidly, simultaneously with an engine, thereby enhancing the output of an engine. CONSTITUTION: An enhancement of power output of an engine by controlling the coolant temperature comprises the steps of; detecting if the temperature of a coolant flowed in a radiator at vehicle's conversion of long-low speed to high speed rises over 70°C; driving a supplementary fan connected to a motor fan of the front of a radiator when the coolant temperature rises over 70°C; sucking the open air flowed in as driving with non-driven motor fan and exposing a radiator to the open air plentifully by sucking the open air flowed in if driving with non-driven motor fan; detecting if the temperature of a radiator's coolant exposed to the open air drops below 70°C; stopping a supplementary fan automatically when the coolant temperature drops below 70°C, so that an engine is cooled down easily by a coolant dropped below 70°C and the power output of an engine is improved.
