    Abstract: PURPOSE: An airbag device for a vehicle is provided to rapidly spread an airbag cushion, and to obtain excellent LRD performance by reducing injuries of a passenger closely positioned to the airbag device or children. CONSTITUTION: An airbag device for a vehicle comprises a vent hole(3), a cover(5), a rope(7), and a rope guide(9). The cover is equipped on the outside of an airbag cushion(1) to convert a gap in which the vent hole is closed by tensile force. The rope supplies the tensile force to the cover through the vent hole. The rope guide supports the rope to the airbag cushion to pass through inner surface of the airbag cushion in a longitudinal direction.

An airbag device for a vehicle comprises a PBA(Printed Board Assembly) housing(20), an air-cushion(30), a hole(21) formed on the side of a PBA housing, and an intermittent member(40) penetrated to the hole. The hole is formed between the air-cushion and the PBA housing side. The intermittent member prevents the air-cushion from being deployed toward a passenger.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A free-crash side air bag device apparatus is provided to effectively prevent impact energy because a main and sub air bags are inflated when a high speed broadside collision is expected. CONSTITUTION: A free-crash side air bag device apparatus comprises a broadside collision sensor(110), a free-crash senor(120), a main air bag(130), a secondary air bag(140), and a control unit(150). The broadside collision sensor senses a collision at both sides of a vehicle. The free-crash senor senses a physical parameter related to a speed of an approaching object. When a control signal is input, the main air bag is inflated. The control unit receives a measured value from the free-crash sensor. In case of free-crash, the control unit inflates the main and secondary air bags even before the value measured by the broadside collision sensor. In case of a normal situation in which a low speed broadside collision is expected, or an error of a measured value is occurred, the control unit inflates a main air bag by receiving a measured value from the broadside collision sensor.

The width of the connection unit is gradually narrowed from the shock absorbing unit. The connection unit is connected to the inflator of the crash pad inside.
