    Abstract: PURPOSE:A coated metallic wire structure suitable for a coated electrical wire, etc., having improved electrical properties, processing characteristics, heat and necking resistance, by coating a metallic wire structure with polybutylene terephthalate blended with a polyether ester block copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a metallic wire structure is coated with a polyester composition consisting of A) 100 parts by wt. of polybutylene terephalate and B) 10-90 parts by wt. of a polyether ester block copolymer comprising 15-80 wt.% of a polyether soft segment, with polyether unit content of 2-30 wt.% in the composition. The soft polyether ester segment of the polyether ester block copolymer consisting of a dicarboxylic acid the same as that of a hard segment and a poly(alkylene oxide) glycol having a number average molecular weight of 300-6000.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:Polybutylene terephthalate is incorporated with an acrylonitrilebutadiene or syrene-butadiene copolymer bearing carboxyl groups to produce polyester resin compositions with improved impact strength. CONSTITUTION:To 100 parts by wt of a polyester resin of polybutylene terephthalate are incorporated 5-50 parts of an acrylonitrile-butadiene (ANB) or styrene- butadiene (SB) copolymer bearing carboxyl groups. The polybutylene terephthalate is prepared from terephthalic acid and 1,4-butanediol or their corresponding derivatives and has 0.5 or more intrinsic viscosity, preferably 0.65-20. The ANB or SB employed is a terpolymer from a acrylontrile or styrene, butadiene and, as the third component, a copolymerizable monomer with carboxyl groups as side chain.
