    Abstract: An electron emission type backlight unit including the electron-emissive element is provided to apply the high voltage to the anode electrode and secure the necessary luminance using the electron-emissive element making the uniform electron emission. An electron emission type backlight unit comprises the first electrode(120); the second electrode(130) which is faced with the first electrode; the electron-emissive element(300) including the electron emission unit which is arranged in the lateral direction of the first electrode and is electrically connected. The electron emission unit is discontinuously formed in the lateral direction of the first electrode. The electron emission unit is arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode.
