    Abstract: PURPOSE:To transfer heat from the upper part of a loop-line to the lower part of it, by raising the discharge pipe of a heat pump connected to an evaporator higher than the upper heat pipe, by constituting a flow passage of loop structure as the whole of a heat pipe device, by providing check valves at the outlet of a cooler and at the rising part of a discharge pipe respectively, and by returning a heating medium in the cooler to the evaporator by a heat pump. CONSTITUTION:When a heat pump 1 is heated and is operated, part of a heating medium 11 is evaporated, and a bubble flow, a plug flow, or a slug flow is produced in the upper and the lower that pipes 2 and 3. At that time the pressure in a loop-line from check valves 5 to 6 including a heating part consisting of the upper and the lower heat pipes 2 and 3 is increased, the check valve 6 is opened, the produced bubbles disappear, and the pressure in the loop-line is reduced. Thereby a cold heating medium is fed into the heating part from a cooler 4. While a discharged heating medium is fed into an evaporator 12 via the check valve 6. The heating medium fed from the outside into the evaporator 12 is heated and generates steam. The generated steam is transmitted to the cooler 4 through a down-pipe 8.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a large amount of dihydrofolic acid reductase-angiotensin II fused protein, by manifesting a fused gene in which an angiotensin II gene is included in a plasmid vector pTP 70-1 with a colon bacillus. CONSTITUTION:A newly recombined plasmid pANG2-11, which is replicated in stable with a colon bacillus, imparting resistance to trimethoprim and resistance to ampicillin to a colon bacillus as a host, having a size of 4651 basic pairs and having a bonded structure of chemically synthesized DNA of 43 basic pairs containing a conformation coding angiotensin II at BamHI site of pTP 70-1, is produced. A colon bacillus introduced of the plasmid pANG2-11 (FERM BP-1815) produces a large amount of dihydrofolic acid reductase-angiotensin II fused protein.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject reducing agent of high optical purity, consisting of a clathrate complex of cyclodextrin and a reducing agent, capable of carrying out asymmetric reduction in high yield by using an inexpensive and readily available raw material and contriving increase in stability, etc., and useful as a synthetic intermediate for physiologically active substances, etc. CONSTITUTION:An optically active reducing agent consisting of a clathrate complex of cyclodextrin or a derivative thereof and a reducing agent. The reducing agent is included by a method for adding an aqueous solvent or organic solvent in an amount of normally 0.05-10 times based on the cyclodextrin or derivative thereof thereto, converting the resultant mixture into a pasty form, then adding the reducing agent to be included and thoroughly kneading the mixture. As an alternative method, a saturated aqueous solution of the cyclodextrin is prepared and the reducing agent to be included is added thereto and mixed to precipitate the resultant clathrate complex, which is then recovered to afford the aimed complex. Furthermore, ratio of the cyclodextrin and reducing agent used is preferably >=0.5mol. reducing agent based on 1mol. cyclodextrin.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat transport capacity, by a method wherein a space part, formed between the inner wall surface of a closed pipe and a wick and a slit part communicating with a steam passage are formed in a wick approximately throughout an overall length in an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:In a space part 14 of a vaporizing part, working fluid is heated to produce air bubbles, and the air bubbles flow pass through the meshes and a slit part 13 of a wick 12 escape into a steam passage 15 while a grain size is small. The air bubbles staying in the wick 12 are united with each other for growth, but the air bubble flowing to the slit part 13 escape into the steam passage 15 after flowing through the slit because the opening area of the slit part 13 is wide. In any way, since air bubbles generated occasioned by heating of working fluid are discharged to the steam passage 15, the inner wall surface of a closed pipe 10 is prevented from being covered with the air bubbles, and thus, excellent heat transfer between the working fluid and the closed pipe 10 is performed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain bradykinin having hypotensive action, by separating bacterial cell from E.coli C600 strain containing pBLAK1, treating the cell with cyanogen bromide and separating the objective compound by high-performance liquid chromatography. CONSTITUTION:E.coli C600 strain containing recombinant plasmid pBLAK1 is cultured in a medium, the bacterial cells are collected after cultivation and centrifuged to obtain a protein composed of dihydrofolic acid reductase-reductase fused to bradykinin. The protein is mixed and treated with cyanogen bromide and subjected to high-performance liquid chromatography to obtain bradykinin useful in the fields of medical and pharmaceutical industries, etc.
