    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having uniform film thickness and excellent film-forming property while preventing the influence of gas generating from a cathode, by horizontally disposing an anode and a cathode in parallel in an electrolyte placing the anode under the cathode and carrying out the electrolytic oxidation. CONSTITUTION:An anode 3 and a cathode 4 are horizontally disposed in an electrolyte 2 charged in a electrolytic chamber 1 and the anode 3 is positioned under the cathode 4. Electric current is passed through the electrolyte using the assembly to effect the electrolytic oxidation of a monomer such as aniline contained in the electrolyte 2. A polymeric film of an organic polymeric material is deposited on the surface of the anode 3 by this process. The form of the cathode is preferably the one to enable the passage of gas, e.g. a mesh, and preferably vibration is applied to the cathode to accelerate the release of the generated gas. The size of the cathode is preferably equal to or larger than the anode. The electrolysis is carried out preferably by separating the electrodes from each other at an electrolyte temperature of -5-+20 deg.C and an anodic current density of without agitation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To assure a high output and an excellent cycle life by employing a conductive high polymer material as a positive electrode and a noncrystalline carbon material as a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:A material containing a conductive material capable of electrochemically doping an electrolyte negative ion and a noncrystalline carbon material are respectively employed, and furthermore a solution containing a compound dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent is employed, said compound ions, each of which can be doped into said positive and negative electrodes by electrolysis. Moreover, for the carbon material, any of materials can be employed each mainly comprising carbon atoms and having an interval of a graphitized portion in a direction of a C axis being 3.8Angstrom or more. Such arrangement of a secondary cell makes effective a combination of the positive and negative electrodes, whereby a high output can be assured while a cycle life, particularly a life of a cycle of the repetition of charge and discharge at higher capacity of the charge and discharge can be assured without allowing metal to be deposited.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the dust collecting efficiency while maintaining the air permeability by depositing a high polymer adhesive composition on a skeleton structure having air permeable fine pores. CONSTITUTION:The base material having air permeable fine pores is the material which is used heretofore as an air filter and contains innumerable communicated fine pores in an organic, inorganic or metallic skeleton structure. The high polymer adhesive composition is a material usually called an adhesive, and the adhesive which is not consumed by evaporation in company with the air current during the breathing is preferable. The high polymer adhesive composition is dissolved in an organic solvent or in water or made into a slurry, which is impregnated into the base material and dried. The impregnation is facilitated by enlarging the cell by swelling in case of a fine foam. Since the high polymer adhesive composition has poor fluidity, the compositon does not ooze out like oil.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner carrier capable of coping with high speed operation and obtaining a high-quality image by keeping toner in a highly charged state and preventing the occurrence of white image fogging as much as possible. SOLUTION: This toner carrier is provided with a resin covering layer whose volume resistivity is >=1012 Ωcm as an outermost layer, its electric resistance value at the time of applying 100 V is 104 to 108 Ω and the minimum value of surface potential after 0.35 seconds when charging the surface of the toner carrier by applying 8 kV voltage to a corona discharger arranged at the distance of 1 mm from the surface thereof so that corona discharge is generated is 100 V to 1 kV. The toner carrier in this method is a roller 1, for example, obtained by forming a semiconductive layer 3 on the outer periphery of a good conductive shaft 2 and further forming the resin covering layer 3a on the layer 3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient life even in use in large discharge capacity and to obtain sufficient discharge capacity even at low temperature by using a nonaqueous electrolyte prepared by dissolving an electrolyte in a nonaqueous mixed solvent containing noncyclic carbonate and cyclic carbonate. CONSTITUTION:A nonaqueous electrolyte prepared by dissolving an electrolyte in a nonaqueous mixed solvent containing noncyclic carbonate and cyclic carbonate is used. As the noncyclic carbonate, dimethyl carbonate, diethyl carbonate, dipropyl carbonate, or dibutyl carbonate is used. As the cyclic carbonate, propylene carbonate or ethylene carbonate is used. The content of the noncyclic carbonate in the nonaqueous mixed solvent is 5wt.% or more. The content of the cyclic carbonate is also 5wt.% or more. The ratio of the noncyclic carbonate to the cyclic carbonate is 1/5-5/1 by weight.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a battery having high voltage, high energy density, and long charge-discharge cycle life by using a nonaqueous electrolyte prepared by dissolving LiPF6 in a nonaqueous mixed solvent containing cyclic carbonate and noncyclic carbonate. CONSTITUTION:A nonaqueous electrolyte prepared by dissolving LiPF6 in a nonaqueous mixed solvent containing cyclic carbonate and noncyclic carbonate is used. As the cyclic carbonate, ethylene carbonate or propylene carbonate is usually used. As the noncyclic carbonate, dialkyl carbonate such as dimethyl carbonate, diethyl carbonate, dipropyl carbonate, dibutyl carbonate, and methylethyl carbonate is used. The contents of the cyclic carbonate and the noncyclic carbonate in the nonaqueous mixed solvent is 20wt.% or more each. The ratio of the cyclic carbonate to the noncyclic carbonate is 5/1-1/5 by weight. The total amount of both carbonates is 80% or more of the whole solvent.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the charge transfer agent having excellent charge transferrability and high safety and allows electrostatic charge to positive on the surface thereof by incorporating a compd. having a diphenoquinone structure into said agent. CONSTITUTION:The transfer of the electrons in the org. photosensitive body is executed by the hopping transfer utilizing the overlaps of the electron clouds at the lowest unoccupied level in the charge transfer material molecule as the electrons generated in a charge generating material are implanted to the lowest unoccupied level. An electron-accepting compd. without having such a chemical structure and substituent which do not hinder an intermolecular interaction or electron transfer is, therefore, incorporated as the charge transfer material into said agent. The compd. having the diphenoquinone structure is, thereupon, incorporated as the charge transfer material into the charge transfer agent. The compd. exhibits the excel lent electron-accepting property even if said compds. has no electron-withdrawing groups such as cyano group and nitro group in structure. Thus, the compd. is capable of increasing the compatibility with resins without degrading the charge transferrability by incorporating various substituents therein. The charge transfer agent which has the good charge transferrability and the high safety and allows the electrostatic charge to positive on the surface thereof is thereby obtd.
