Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain the first and the second members in a specific condition and to prevent a slippage of position by irradiating ultraviolet rays to an adhesive placed between the first and the second members in the pressure-contact state of the first and the second members with each other, in a pressure-contact process. CONSTITUTION:To the surface to be bonded of the first member 102, an adhesive 80a of an ultraviolet-ray hardening property is applied. Then the first member 102 is placed on a joining force generating means 34. The first and the second members 102 and 104 are unified in respect of the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction each other, one member 102 of the first and the second members 102 and 104 is moved in the Z-axis direction facing the other member 104, the joining force is generated in the joining force generating means 34, and both members 102 and 104 are pressure-contacted. Under the condition of the first and the second members 102 and 104 being pressure-contacted with each other by the pressure-contact process, the ultraviolet rays from a light source 58 is irradiated to the adhesive 80a placed between the first and the second members 102 and 104.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To bore many holes at one time and to allow the correction of a work position by irradiating the work with laser beams of a prescribed shape via a desired number of the fine holes of a mask. CONSTITUTION:The plural points of the work W can be simultaneously bored by using a flyeye lens 6 and the mask 9 and by using the plural laser beams of a uniform light quantity and, therefore, the working efficiency of the boring is greatly improved. Since the laser beams are shaped via a beam shaping optical system 5, luminous fluxes can be reduced in the direction where the holes of the work W array and the directions orthogonal respectively with the axial directions of the laser beams and, therefore, the effect of increasing the density of the light energy passing the fine holes 9a of the mask 9 is obtd. in this case.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the use efficiency of a recording liquid to accomplish a small-sized container by a method wherein an ink is suctionally removed so that an amount of ink held in an area of a porous body only on the side of an air communicating port is smaller than that held in an area of an ink discharge part. CONSTITUTION:The pressure in an ink tank is reduced, and an ink is injected from a supply port 1200 so as to fill all through the ink tank. In this manner, a porous member 902 can be fully charged with the ink. A suck-out port 1401 is opened with the supply port closed, and the excess of the ink over a predetermined recording liquid injection amount is sucked out from the suck-out port. A gap between the supply port 1200 and the suck-out port 1401 is determined to be as proximate to a maximum dimension in a liquid jet recording head as possible and desirably meets a relation of (l1/l2)>=0.7. In this manner, the recording liquid is distributed to be concentrated on the side of the supply port, whereby the ratio of a suppliable ink amount to an injected ink amount is raised to approximately 80% or more.

The cross section of the ink path orthogonally to an ink delivery direction is shaped into a form that it gradually extends toward a bonding surface of the top plate with a substrate to be bonded to the top plate. An orifice is formed by a method wherein a molded piece without a orifice 11 is formed within a mold, a position to be provided with the orifice is irradiated with an excimer laser light by a laser device from the side of the ink liquid path of an orifice plate 10, a resin is removed and evaporated, and the orifice 11 is formed. The excimer laser light 2 is radiated onto the orifice plate 10 from the side of the ink liquid path 14 through a mask 4 so as to focus on the orifice plate 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a structure in which the gap accuracy is stabilized with a magnetic head, by making the face of a block facing an insulating film parallel to the insulating film and, at the same time, extending a 1st magnetic film along the boundary between one of paired nonmagnetic material sections and the block. CONSTITUTION:A highly-saturated magnetic flux density material 2 working as a 1st magnetic pole, gap material 6, and highly-saturated magnetic flux density material 7 working as a 2nd magnetic pole are formed on a high-permeability base plate 1. On the sliding surface of this head, the boundary between the base plate 1 and material 2 is parallel to the gap material 6 and appearance of a contour effect can be suppressed to a negligible degree. The sliding surface side of a protecting plate is made of a nonmagnetic material 10 and, therefore, the clearance between the protecting plate and the 2nd magnetic pole 7 or a bonding agent layer never becomes a false gap. Moreover, while the lowest point P1 of the nonmagnetic material 10 or 12 on the side facing the gap of the protecting plate is set at the same height as or lower than the upper end point P2 of the wall face of a groove for winding window, it is desirable to bring the lowest point P1 as close as possible to the sliding surface from the point of characteristic, because the magnetic reluctance becomes smaller when the high- permeability material 11 of the protecting plate is brought nearer to the sliding surface.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain massproduction without unbalanced characteristics for two kinds of magnetic heads having different azimuth angle by coating a magnetic member to each of gap forming faces from a direction having an angle. CONSTITUTION:A two-layer substrate on which a ''Sendust(R)'' block 23 is mounted on a nonmagnetic substrate 21 is cut off into many small two-layer blocks and they are laminated. Then a low melting point glass 27 is packed to a slot formed to the laminated block, an SiO2 29 is adhered thinly as a gap spacer to a part being the gap forming face and the ''Sendust(R)'' 31 is coated from the upper part. The adhering direction of the ''Sendust(R)'' is 90 deg. to the gap forming face. The block is formed by the etching technology and cut, and the low melting point glass 27 is removed by heating and a winding window is formed so as to obtain plural head chips. Then magnetic heads of >=2 kinds having different azimuth angle are mass-produced with high accuracy and without variance in the characteristics.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve butt accuracy and joint strength by depositing a magnetic material film to a laminated block from above the gap spacer and the low melting glass filled into the winding grooves thereof and cutting the laminated block on which the magnetic material film is deposited in a way as to dispose a non- magnetic material layer on both sides of the magnetic material layer. CONSTITUTION:The low melting glass 16 is filled into the winding grooves 8 of the small block 7 worked with said grooves 8 and the butt surface 9 of the core half as a gap forming surface is polished. The gap spacer 10 is further stuck to the gap part. The magnetic material such as ''Sendust(R)'' is deposited to a prescribed thickness on the core half block 17 by a thick film sputtering method, etc. from the gap spacer 10 side thereof and is trimmed by which the block 18 is obtd. The block 18 is then cut as shown by an alternate long and short line to obtain a chip block 20. Only the part bonded with the low melting glass 16 is worked with a hole by, for example, laser beam processing to provide the hole for winding. The block 20 is further cut out to as shown by the alternate long and short line, by which the head core chip 23 is obtd.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately position and combine a heater board, a top plate and a separation wall of an ink jet head. SOLUTION: A butting reference projection part 7 is formed to a heater board 1. A jig 5 has a butting reference recess part 6 and a groove 9 which regulates a relative position of a separation wall and the jig 5 when a movable part 4 of the separation wall is inserted. In a state while the jig 5 holds the separation wall, the butting reference projection part 7 and the butting reference recess part 6 are butted and registered, whereby the separation wall 4 and the heater board 1 can be registered. A top plate has a butting reference recess part similar to the recess part of the jig, and therefore the top plate and the heater board 1 can be registered in the same method as when the separation wall and heater board are registered.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align an element board with a top plate while protecting the minute members, e.g. the liquid channel, of the element board and the top plate against deformation or damage. SOLUTION: When an element board 1 having an array of jet energy generating elements and a top plate 2 having a liquid channel part comprising a plurality of liquid channel trenches 2b, a liquid receiving port 2c and a common liquid chamber 2d are assembled while being aligned, compressed air A is supplied from the liquid receiving port 2c of the top plate 2 through a finger for clamping the top plate 2 to form a micro air layer 3 between the element board 1 and the top plate 2. The top plate 2 is moved, while floating, relatively to the element board 1 in order to align a reference jet energy generating element with a reference jet port 2a or a liquid channel trench 2b thus aligning the element board 1 with the top plate 2 while protecting the minute members, e.g. the liquid channel trench, thereof against deformation or damage.
